Dwight Howard will prove all the so-called ”experts” wrong next year. Yes I said it, but not for the reason you are thinking as you sit there reading the opening line. Once all the dust settles and Dwight Howard is a Los Angeles Laker, things will have changed for the Western Conference. This is where things will get interesting and “Superman” will swoop in and start proving writers, sports analyst, and so-called “experts” wrong.
All last year, during the playoffs, and shortly after the season all we heard was, the Oklahoma City Thunder are going to be that team. That team that wins multiple championships. That team that was put together properly and will have a run like Michael Jordan and the Chicago Bulls. All these expectations were laid at the feet of the Oklahoma City Thunder, but it seems that Dwight Howard and the Los Angeles Lakers have a plan, a plan that will involve Kobe Bryant getting his sixth NBA title.

Orlando's long-running search to trade Dwight Howard may finally have received some good news. After the Magic were generally unsatisfied with the package the Nets, Dwight Howard's preferred landing spot, put together and after the Nets decided to move on, Dwight Howard may have finally enabled the Magic to increase their trade leverage.
Jarrod Rudolph of RealGM reports...
Magic center Dwight Howard is open to signing a five-year maximum contract extension if he's traded to the Lakers according to multiple published reports. The Magic and Lakers are zeroing in on a proposal that involves a third team, the Cleveland Cavaliers, who have the salary cap space to absorb a contract in return from the Magic if they also receive Lakers center Andrew...
Dwight Howard to the Lakers?
Reports are surfacing that the Orland Magic Center is working his way to end up playing for the Los Angeles Lakers and finally leaving Orlando. Multiple teams would need to be involved in the trade of this magnitude to work in the new collective bargaining agreement in the NBA. Howard has been disgusted with the Orlando Magic not giving him enough pieces...
Dwight Howard has said no more times than a virgin on prom night and now no one wants him, or so it seems. The Oklahoma City Thunder are quietly keeping tabs on the most desired big man since Shaquille O’Neal and the longer it takes for Dwight to share his services with a new suitor, the more likely it becomes OKC will become the lucky gent.

I am SO SICK of the Dwight Howard saga. However, I understand what a benefit Howard would be to the Lakers if they were to get him. So with that caveat out of the way, I’ll present you another update on the “Get Dwight to LA” campaign. Wednesday night, Real GM reported that Dwight is [...]
Although a source close to the Dwight Howard camp has said that he
would be happy to play for the Los Angeles Lakers, Howard?s agent
reportedly said Friday that the Orlando Magic center intends to
explore free agency at the end of the 2012-13 season and will not
sign an extension with any team.

Jason Richardson and Steve Nash are former teammates from their days with the Phoenix Suns, and there have been rumors that they didn’t end on the best terms. Steve Nash has a “personal issue” with Richardson...
The 2012 off-season hasn’t been one the Houston Rockets would like to remember. As it stands, the Rockets failed horribly to try and acquire Dwight Howard from the Orlando Magic in a pre-draft trade. Former starting PG Kyle Lowry had a complete falling-out with head coach Kevin McHale and was traded to the Toronto Raptors. Then they failed to retain PG Goran Dragic who chose to...
With the Orlando Magic determined to move Dwight Howard and the Los Angeles Lakers seemingly bent on landing the All-Star center, the Cleveland Cavaliers once again could help facilitate a deal. And in return, the Cavs could end up with Lakers center Andrew Bynum, multiple sources told FOX Sports Ohio.Rumors suggesting these three teams were involved in a potential deal emerged over...
The NBA is going NASCAR — At a press conference yesterday in Vegas, NBA deputy/future commissioner Adam Silver said that team owners are strongly in favor to put 2.5 inch by 2.5 inch sponsor patches above the heart on team uniforms. The plan is still pending but it could happen as soon as next season. It’s all about monetizing these days.-TO

As we all know the Thunder have set a pretty high bar in the Western Conference as the team to beat. I know it was only one Final’s run but, do you really see anybody comparable in the West? I didn’t until I heard that Dwight might sign the extension. I know Kobe said he would leave the league in two but, if Dwight is there for five Kobe may stay a bit longer. Kobe is no longer...
While visions of Dwight Howard might be dancing in the heads of Hawks fans, the future of another free-agent-to-be is more central to the teams long-term success.
Hes one of their own -- Josh Smith.
Anyone who watched the Hawks last season knew it was a travesty that Smith did not earn a spot on the NBA All-Star team. He was the Hawks co-leader in points-per-game (18.8) and leader...
