Dwight Howard was once associated with the Orlando Magic and the whole he said/she said continued to plague the league for almost a year.  Now that he is with the Los Angeles Lakers, everyone seems to have forgotten about the whole “Dwightmare” that surrounded him and the Magic. At that time of difficulty between both parties, other teams were clearing space in an attempt to land the young and athletic center.  One of those teams included the Houston Rockets.  In a report by the Los Angeles Daily News, Dwight Howard would have accepted a trade to the Houston Rockets.  Of course, Howard had a short list of teams he preferred to be traded to and those teams are the Brooklyn Nets and the Los Angeles Lakers.  Had the Orlando Magic seen key pieces that interested them from the Houston Rockets, Dwight would be suited up in a white and red jersey in H-Town right now.  According to Dwight, he would have given the Rockets all his effort and said, I would’ve gone there and played.  I didn’t have a problem with it.  At the same time, there were two places that I’d rather go to and I’m here at one of them.  I’m happy.  If I would’ve gone to Houston, I would’ve played as hard as I could with the Rockets. Dwight Howard is playing his media cards right.  Of course he would have played for Houston if he were traded there.  On the other hand, the whole point of the trade was to send him to a team that he would sign an extension with.
