NBA players continue to have plenty of free time with the league's lockout still ongoing and not really showing any signs of ending very soon. The lack of a functioning league isn't keeping some of the game's best from getting a run in, though.

Dwyane Wade, Chris Paul andCarmelo Anthony all star in a new Jordan commercial titled "Love the Game," in which the All-Star triumvirate is shown playing some pickup hoops in their respective cities.

The three get in on some pickup games and lend some help to teams in leagues like:

Flamingo Sr. Rec Center League
Bayou Women's League
Jewish Under-40 League

Well done, gents. Well done.

Got to give this to Nike — even during the lockout they know how to make some advertisements that will sell some shoes. This latest one for the Jordan Brand has Carmelo Anthony, Chris Paul and Dwyane Wade playing in pickup games — pretty standard pickup games that you and I could walk into for…

Video: Jordan Brand’s “Love The Game” Commercial

It sounds like the NBA will be cancelling two more weeks of games so for the near future we’ll be limited to glorified pickup games, and commercials like this one, to see the league’s biggest stars in something resembling basketball action. This ad, released by the Jumpman23 YouTube account, contains Dwyane Wade, Chris [...]

Video: New Jordan Brand ad puts Melo, Wade, and CP3 in your pickup game

During the 1998-99 lockout, Nike put out several now-classic ads poking fun at our need for the game. Samuel L. Jackson and Spike Lee were (and are) more famous than most of us, but their passion at a driveway game of HORSE or little Regina Miller's middle school game wasn't so different from our own. Without the NBA, everyone has to find a way to keep up with their hoops...
