Endorsing a sneaker brand is a very lucrative deal for any NBA superstar. Miami Heat stud Dwyane Wade, being just that, has made the rounds throughout his career in that aspect. He initially endorsed Converse, and most recently Jordan Brand. Well, his contract with Jordan is up this summer, and there are rumors that he may jump ship and sign with Chinese powerhouse Li-Ning.
Wade said:
“We’re still negotiating, until you get to the point where you decide which way to go. There’s many shoe companies that obviously know that I’m up this summer. But I still have the respect for and the obligation and the willingness to sit down and to the company I’m with.”
Li-Ning must be offering up a nice chunk of change to outdo Jordan Brand, and if Wade is to sign with them, it will bring about a whole new interest in their sneakers.
