With a ring, three MVP's and a whole bunch of other achievements under LeBron James' young 27-year-old body's belt, many are already saying that he can possibly catch Michael Jordan for claiming the title as the greatest NBA player of all-time.
For Miami Heat shooting guard (along with being LeBron's teammate and being signed under Jordan Brand) Dwyane Wade, he's says James is on the level, but the debate seems premature.
"He's on that level," Wade told Ira Winderman of the South Florida Sun-Sentinel, "but he has a lot more to do to get there. I think he understands he has an unbelievable opportunity to be one of the greatest to play this game. But that's when he gets done playing, he can say that.
"Right now, he has so much more to cover in his career. He's just getting started at the same time when Michael kind of just got started. We'll see how it all shakes out. I hope it shakes out the same way. I'll be a very happy man."
Wade has a solid point here. James is still in his prime, and at 27, he still has a lot of years left in his career. Maybe after a decade or so, we can come to a solid conclusion on where James stands among the greats, or maybe just next to MJ.
