PLAYERS: Dwyane Wade
TEAMS: Miami Heat
Miami Heat guard Dwyane Wade has missed the team’s past six games due to a bruised kneecap, but the All-Star told reporters – including The Associated Press – that he plans on suiting up Friday against the Boston Celtics.Wade also told reporters that doctors recently discovered three separate bone bruises around his right kneecap. While this is what’s kept him sidelined recently, the guard said rest and treatment has “largely taken care of the problem.”It’s unclear how much playing time Wade will see against the Celtics, as the Heat won’t want to push the veteran considering the playoffs are right around the corner. Friday’s game means nothing to Miami as far as the standings are concerned, as the team has already clinched the best record in the NBA and the home-court advantage through the playoffs that provides.There’s no word on the status of LeBron James or Chris Boshfor Friday, but Miami figures to continue to also be cautious with their stars with the postseason approaching. James, Bosh and Wade all sat out Wednesday’s contest against the Washington Wizards.Follow @hoopsinjurynews!function(d,s,id){var js,fjs=d.getElementsByTagName(s)[0];if(!d.getElementById(id)){js=d.createElement(s);js.id=id;js.src="http://www.nbainjurynews.com//platform.twitter.com/widgets.js";fjs.parentNode.insertBefore(js,fjs);}}(document,"script","twitter-wjs");

It's a chore to find a true Heat weakness

MIAMI The Miami Heat are 34-2 since Feb. 3.
