The Milwaukee Bucks let one slip away Monday night, losing to the Charlotte Bobcats 102-98. This game was all about the guard matchups, with several of the quickest guards in the league meeting up – Jennings/Ellis v Kemba Walker/Ramon Sessions. Initially, the Bobcats combo got the best of the Bucks, with Walker shooting 6/6 in the first half and Sessions contributing 8 points. Meanwhile, Jennings shot 3/10 and Ellis scored 13, on 6/13 in the first half. Lots of fouling by the Buckies in the first half. However, a nice contribution from Doran Lamb and Jon Henson in the second quarter, along with nice distribution from Udrih, got the Bucks back into the game and helped erase a 10 point deficit. Lamb went 3/3 from the field, and Henson provided aggressive play inside. In the third, Ellis started creating opportunities for the Bucks bigs, the Larry Sanders Show got active on both ends, and they took a four point lead into the 4th. The Bucks brought some swarming defense to start the 4th, blocked alot of shots, created some turnovers, and Ellis and Dunleavy lead them to an 11 point lead with 5 min to go. However, the Bucks got sloppy and started turning it over. Sessions lead the Cats back into it, and they had a 100-98 lead w 50 secs left. Then Dalembert took a boneheaded 15 foot jumper that missed badly. Ellis stole it from Sessions on the next Bobcat possession, giving the Bucks another chance. However, Ellis missed a wide open three with 4 seconds left, the Bobcats hit their freethrows and it was over. Big free throw disparity in this one with the Bobcats going 27-30 and Bucks 8-11. Not gonna win alot of games with that disparity. Ellis finished with 31 and Dunleavy 16. Jennings only shot 5-18. Ellis did have 6 turnovers. Sessions had 23 and Walker kind of disappeared in the second half, and only scored 19 on the night. But it was enough. The Bucks suffered there first road loss, and dropped to 6-2 overall. Really needed this one. They have a tough 4 game stretch coming up – @Mia, Chi, @Chi, and Ny. This stretch will tell us alot about this team. Gotta find a way to at least split in these 4 games. The feisty Bobcats moved to 5-4. In other News: 1)It appears Brandon Roy made himself $1 million per game for his 5 game stint with the Timberwolves. He underwent arthroscopic surgery today on his right knee. This is his seventh knee surgery. They are saying he’ll be out for just a month. If you believe that, I have a hell of a fine horse out back that I’d like to sell you. It’s over folks. 2) Speaking of knee surgeries, if I had to guard Kemba Walker, I’m pretty sure I would need a couple knee surgeries immediately after the game. Of all the players in the league (relatively close to my size), I’m pretty sure Kemba would be the most humiliating matchup for me. 3) Zach Randolph was fined $25K for confronting Perkins near the locker room last week. Money well spent. 4) I believe the Lakers have won 4-5 since firing Brown, and before DAntoni’s arrival. Maybe they should just set up the new Kareem statue on the sideline, and let it coach. 5) Kyrie Irving will miss a month due to broken index finger. Another injury that should increase the Bucks chances of bulding a Central Division lead. Here’s the very feisty Lady Cats:
