Euroleague - Maccabi Electra Tel-Aviv

Maccabi Tel Aviv had an exceptional season last year, and that was to be expected of the European giants.  They made it to the Final Four in Barcelona and only lost in the final game to a better Panathinaikos team.  It was a good run for first year coach David Blatt who is now entering his second season, and while winning the Israeli League and the Cup made sure that the season wasn't completely trophy-less, all eyes are on the big prize this year.  Maccabi are heavy favorites to go all the way this year, led by their big man Sofoklis Schortsanitis, aka "Baby Shaq".  Maccabi's long history in European basketball is one to be admired, winning 39 league titles and 5 European titles, while making 14 finals appearances.  This sort of competitive and winning mentality has long been accustomed to the Yellow jersey and all players who come play for the team know they are coming into an organization with years of experience, a religious-like fan base, a roster in which eac...
