Carmelo Anthony had a rough playoff game in Game 1 in the Eastern Conference Semis against the Indiana Pacers.  He shot 10-28 from the field and was only 1-4 from three-point land. After the game, the ESPN cameraman ran into Anthony’s right shoulder with his camera. The post Even The Cameraman Gets The Best Of Carmelo Anthony In Game 1 appeared first on Ride The Pine.

The New York Knicks Are Overrated

This has made me sick to my stomach all year long. Knicks fans, which happen to be the worst kind in the NBA, have continually bragged about how great their team is. Some even think they have a chance to take down the Heat, which may be more ridiculous than Carmelo stealing a first place MVP vote from LeBron. To start off, I will give credit where it is due, a 54-28 record along...

C's fans chant 'Honey Nut Cheerios' at Carmelo

During Game Six of the 2013 Eastern Conference NBA playoff game between the Celtics and Knicks, the fans at Boston’s TD Garden began taunting Carmelo Anthony with a chant of “Honey Nut Cheerios”. This chant is, of course, in reference to comments Kevin Garnett “allegedly” made about Carmelo’s wife, LaLa Vazquez. Good ol’ Boston, keeping it classy. Article found on...

Celtics fans Taunt Carmelo Anthony by Chanting “Honey Nut Cheerios” (Video)

Well it seems like the people of Boston have recovered from the bombing tragedy that shocked the city some weeks ago, and are ready to reclaim their antagonistic status in pro sports. During the first quarter of Game 6 of the Boston Celtics first round playoff match up against the New York Knicks, the fans at TD Bank Garden, joined in the unified taunting of Carmelo Anthony, by...

Celtics fans chant “Honey Nut Cheerios” at Carmelo Anthony

Back in January, Boston Celtics forward Kevin Garnett made the term “Honey Nut Cheerios” into a whole new thing after he spent some time trash-talking Carmelo Anthony about his wife, La La Vazquez. Flash-forward to today, Celtics fans decided to serenade Carmelo with those exact words as he made his way to the Knicks bench area during game six of their first-round playoff series...

Writer Gary Washburn Defends his MVP Vote for Carmelo Anthony

It was widely expected that LeBron James would become the first unanimous NBA MVP this season. However, much like when the same was thought about Shaquille O'Neal back in 2000, he came up one vote short. That one vote went to Carmelo Anthony of the New York Knicks (who came in third behind Kevin Durant and of course LeBron). Being the curious bunch that we are, the world...

Knicks, Pacers struggling with isolation

Carmelo Anthony did not have a "hot spot" on the floor against the Celtics. The New York Knicks and Indiana Pacers will renew their postseason rivalry beginning with Game 1 on Sunday at 3:30 ET on ABC. This marks the seventh postseason meeting all-time between the Pacers and Knicks. The teams split the previous six meetings, 3-3. The interesting thing about this matchup...

MVP Vote: Post's headline writer who came up with STINKO DE MELO cover

While folks worry about the 1 MVP vote that went to Carmelo Anthony - the Post nails it with STINKO DE MELO (and, not -- that doesn't refer to Melanoma Monday). **Follow us on Twitter or... Full story at Bob's Blitz ~ http://www.bobsblitz.com

Dan Le Batard votes Carmelo Anthony MVP, robs LeBron of unanimous vote

Le Batard really loves Miami. Which makes this weird. Via Deadspin, Dan Le Batard didn't vote for LeBron James for NBA MVP: deadsp.in/mRNt1SL — Deadspin (@Deadspin) May 6, 2013 Ok so when it broke this afternoon that LeBron received 120 out of 121 votes for NBA MVP, a witch hunt started to figure out who the hell voted for Carmelo Anthony. Now we know. It was the Miami...

You stay classy Boston; Celtics eliminated as fans chant ‘Honey Nut Cheerios’

Boston Globe writer explains picking Carmelo over LeBron

MIAMI (AP) -- The writer who did not choose LeBron James of the Miami Heat as the NBA's Most Valuable Player believes Carmelo Anthony "meant more to his team" this season. Gary Washburn of The Boston Globe says Anthony made the New York Knicks relevant again by leading them to their first division title in nearly two decades. Washburn's explanation was published...

Knicks survive Celtics, win series

Carmelo Anthony scored 21 points and the New York Knicks held on after blowing most of a 26-point lead to beat the Boston Celtics 88-80 in Game 6 on Friday night and advance in the postseason for the first time since 2000. Iman Shumpert scored 15 of his 17 points in the second half, when the Celtics cut a 75-49 deficit to four points. But Anthony made a jumper to give New York an...

Notes From Game 1: Pacers Stifle The Knicks

New series, same old story. You can finesse the narrative however you want, it boils down to the cold hard facts: Carmelo Anthony's name may as well be Buck, and he comes to chuck. If he's hitting, the Knicks are reeeeally hard to beat (he was basically NBA Jams "On FIRE" for his 10 games in April, averaging 36.9 ppg on 53.6% shooting, including a mind melting...

The Day After – May 6, 2013 edition

Happy Monday to all. Lebron was officially named as the Most Valuable Player. We all know this was imminent and likely. What was the question is whether he will be the first unanimous one. Unfortunately, he wasn’t. He was close, though, as he snagged all but one first-place vote. The Akron native thought it was a NY-based person who gave the dissenting vote, since that lone vote...

Trash talk, bad blood reign in NBA playoffs

(Eds: Adds details and quotes. With AP Photos.) By JON KRAWCZYNSKI AP Basketball Writer Talk is cheap in these NBA playoffs, and it seems as if everyone wants in on the act. As the stakes grew in the first round, the venom being spewed became ever more toxic. Superstars are jawing at bench players. Reserves are picking fights with superstars. Coaches are accusing opponents of being...
