LeBron James created the non-storiest of non-stories Sunday, when he responded to Indiana Pacers head coach Frank Vogel referring to the Miami Heat as “just another team”. Unfortunately for LeBron, that’s not what Vogel said at all. He referred to the Heat as “just the next team” — a less dismissive comment, and one that also happens to be 100% accurate as the Heat are, in fact, the next team the Pacers will be playing: “It’s exciting, but this is not about getting back at Miami,” Vogel said when asked about facing the Heat. “You’re in the final four, you’re competing for a championship. You’re competing for a championship. And they’re just the next team that’s in our way. And that’s how we’re approaching it.” Whatever LeBron thinks Vogel was insinuating with those comments, he blew it out of proportion with his response: “We’re not just another team,” James said. “I don’t understand what he’s saying. But we’re not just another team. That’s not true. He said

LeBron to Vogel: Not just next team

After advancing to the conference semis, Frank Vogel referred to the Heat as the next team in their championship run, a comment LeBron James took umbrage with.

Rare and iconic photos of LeBron in high school

LeBron James has risen to become the indisputable best basketball player in the world. Standing at 6’8″, 250+ lbs, LeBron can do it all. He can effectively play every position on the court, both offensively and defensively. He elevates the play of his teammates and the efficiency of his individual scoring is changing the way we look at scorers in the NBA. Today, we take a look...

Vogel vs LeBron – Round 1!

Over the weekend, word came out that Pacers coach Frank Vogel called the Miami Heat “just another team.” So ever the sensitive flower, LeBron fired back: “We’re not just another team…If we’re just another team, you really don’t prepare for just another team. You have to prepare for us.” Makes sense, no argument there. Except Frank never really said that quote. The...

Dwayne Wade and LeBron James work South Beach shirtless, ladies melt

LeBron James and Dwayne Wade hit South Beach during their NBA playoff break, strutting shirtless for the ladies.

The NBA needs the Pacers to push the Heat

Everyone in the NBA is way too friendly. Opponents used to hate one another. When was the last time we saw ourselves a nice quality heated rivalry? The Pistons and Pacers looked to be on their way to one in 2004 when Ben Wallace shoved Ron Artest, but that was avoided when Artest and Stephen Jackson charged the stands instead. We probably would have to go back to the old Knicks and...

47 Rare Photos Of Lebron James In High School

That white boy looks terrified.  If you don't think that he has this once in a lifetime photograph of being blown by on the basketball by the King himself, you might want to consider therapy.  If I was the bro looking like I just pooped my pants as Lebron dribbled passed me, I'd have this on a mantle over the fireplace. Anyways, here are 46 other great photos of Lebron...

LeBron and CP3 Mentor a Young James Harden & Steph Curry in 2008 (Video)

There’s a reason why LeBron James and Chris Paul are the best players at their respective positions, and that’s because they work relentlessly at their craft. Back in 2008, James and Paul held a summer camp before the Beijing Olympics, and a college stars like Steph Curry and a significantly less hairy James Harden were amongst those invited. In the recently released video...

LeBron James & Dwyane Wade chill at the beach

While the Miami Heat were waiting to see who they’d be competing against in the Eastern Conference finals, Dwyane Wade and LeBron James hit up the beach with their family and friends. The Heat will have had almost a week off when they face off against the Indiana Pacers on Wednesday. In the meantime, check out King James and WOW – yeah, I’m still not rolling with the “Way...

LeBron James & Dwyane Wade Have A Beach Day

As they await the Indiana Pacers arrival to Miami for Wednesday’s Game 1 of the Eastern Conference Finals, LeBron James and Dwyane Wade took full advantage of their down time at the beach this weekend.

Shootaround: Just another team

Vogel: I never said Heat were 'just another team' ----- There is nothing like some media-manufactured words to get the blood boiling. Especially when the supposed perpetrator and poster of that bulleting board material did not actually say the words attributed to him. Or, even if he did, probably got taken out of context anyway. The latest "controversy" (emphasis...

Heat can be beat and LeBron knows it

LeBron James' overreaction to the media-ginned "just another team" controversy strikes me as Miami Heat vulnerability. Dan Le Batard's whining about the New York Knicks losing in the Eastern Conference semifinals strikes me as Miami Heat vulnerability. Dwyane Wade's sore knee strikes me as Miami Heat vulnerability. So does the sloppy, referee-assisted way...
