For the first time since the 2001-02 season, this guy (Tayshaun Prince) won't be on the Pistons when the Nets face them. He was dealt to the Grizzlies in the trade that brought Jose Calderon to Detroit and sent Rudy Gay to Toronto

The Nets look to rebound from their uneven effort last night at Barclays in a loss to the Lakers tonight in Detroit against the lowly Pistons. With their trade of Tayshaun Prince to the Grizzlies and acquisition of Jose Calderon in the Rudy Gay deal, the Pistons have completely dismembered their 2004 NBA Champion team as Prince was the last member of the core five to be in Detroit (the others were Ben Wallace, Rasheed Wallace, Richard Hamilton, and Chauncey Billups). In return they get the wily veteran Calderon, who has a hefty contract but always manages to have big games against the Nets and is still very ...

AUBURN HILLS, Mich. The Jose Calderon era with the Pistons has had an inauspicious beginning.
It's likely to get better, just not overnight.
The Pistons will also need a healthy Andre Drummond and someone else to come to life offensively for it to translate into more victories.
Drummond said he fell on his tailbone against the Los Angeles Lakers Sunday. The injury limited...
Andre Drummond's sore back forced him out of Wednesday's loss to the Nets. The rookie center played just five minutes but managed to block two shots.
The rookie warmed up with his teammates after the half, but didn't return. Pistons beat writer Keith Langlois tweeted that he doesn't believe the back injury will be 'a chronic issue."
Sore back for...
The NBA on Tuesday gave Lakers forward Metta World Peace a one-game suspension for an altercation with Brandon Knight of the Detroit Pistons.
With 1:43 left in the second quarter of the Lakers' 98-97 victory Sunday, World Peace and Knight got tangled up while fighting for a rebound.
World Peace was called for a flagrant foul after landing what looked to be a subtle uppercut...
NEW YORK (AP) -- Metta World Peace of the Los Angeles Lakers has been suspended one game for hitting the Pistons' Brandon Knight in the face.
World Peace grabbed Knight around the neck and struck him in the jaw with the knuckles of his mostly open hand. The incident happened Sunday, with 1:43 left in the first half of the Lakers' 98-97 win over the Pistons.
The Detroit Pistons hosted the Brooklyn Nets looking to avenge a double overtime loss at Barclays Center in December. Let’s fast forward to the 2nd half. With Detroit leading 46-40 at halftime, Jose Calderon, making his home debut, hit Jason Maxiell for a jumper to make it 52-44 Pistons. Calderon then hit Greg Monroe for [...]
The New York Knicks handled the Detroit Pistons last night 99-85. J.R. Smith made the boring game interesting with a free throw air ball that his teammates laughed at, and a little scrimmage with kids during half time. You just never know what you're going to get with this guy, other than 16 points per game. Videos are below for a good laugh.

Jose Calderon made his much anticipated debut with the Pistons Monday night racking up 15 points and 3 assists while taking much needed control of the Detroit offensive attack.
However the Pistons were not match for New York’s perimeter game as the Knicks went on to beat Detroit 99-85 from Madison Square Garden. In fact the Pistons didn’t even sniff a lead in this one as New...
Newly acquired Detroit Pistons guard Jose Calderon has been cleared to return to the court when the Pistons face the New York Knicks in Madison Square Garden. Calderon, who played all of his previous seven years in the NBA in Toronto, was dealt to the Pistons in the deal that sent Rudy Gay to the Raptors. The Pistons announced that Calderon would be ready Monday for his Pistons...
Jose Calderon was in the Pistons' starting lineup Monday, but his 15 points wasn't good enough to get a road win over the Knicks.
Calderon played 27 minutes in his first game for Detroit, hitting a three, grabbing a rebound and handing out three assists. While he looked good, Brandon Knight slid over to shooting guard and struggled.
Knight made just 2-of-10 shots,...
Their first game with some new faces went well for the Memphis Grizzlies, and now they've had a few days to really get on the same page.
Newcomer Tayshaun Prince and the Grizzlies look to take care of another inferior opponent and win the season series with the visiting Phoenix Suns on Tuesday night.
Prince, Ed Davis and Austin Daye were with Memphis (30-16) for one day before...
Jerryd Bayless came off the bench Wednesday, but lit up the Phoenix Suns for 29 points in the loss. Bayless played 29 minutes and made the most of them, knocking down three 3-pointers, grabbing two boards, dishing two assists and snagging a steal.
I've been on the Bayless bandwagon since the Grizzlies traded away Josh Selby and Wayne Ellington. The minutes are there for the...
NEW YORK (AP) -- Tyson Chandler tied a franchise record with his third straight 20-rebound game, Carmelo Anthony scored 27 points, and the New York Knicks beat the Detroit Pistons 99-85 on Monday night for their fifth consecutive victory.
In a game that was decided early, Chandler played long enough to grab his 20th rebound midway through the fourth quarter. After grabbing 20 in...
