Toko (Nets rookie forward Tornike Shengalia from the Republic of Georgia) has quickly become a Brooklyn fan favorite, even though he hasn't played much. But tonight, he played a lot, and was a big role in the Nets winning this meaningless game
You know that sick point-guard matchup between Deron Williams and John Wall that I mentioned in the preview? Well, that never happened in tonight's Nets-Wizards tilt as Brooklyn rested all of its players that play significant minutes, other than Andray Blatche (who scored 20 points and grabbed 12 boards), Kris Humphries (also 20 points), Gerald Wallace (returning from injury), and C.J. Watson. No D-Will, Joe, Brook, Reggie, Keith, Jerry. Meanwhile, Washington--firmly out of the playoffs--didn't purposely rest anyone but had a few key injuries, as Nene, Martell Webster, and Trevor Ariza all didn't play.
Thusly, as you'd imagine, this game was really ugly for the first three quarters, as the Nets hit l...
BEST OF MAXIM
The Brooklyn Nets are peaking at just the right time thanks to the much-improved play of Deron Williams.
Andre Blatche has been a very productive bench player for the Brooklyn Nets this season, which if you’re familiar with the 6-foot-11 forward’s past, is somewhat surprising.
Blatche has played in all 81 games for the Nets this season and is averaging 10.2 points, 5.1 rebounds in 18.9 minutes per game and shooting 51 percent from the field.
But, according to a story courtesy Pro...

Andray Blatche led a bevy of Brooklyn bench players with 20 points and 11 rebounds the Nets erased an early 17 point deficit to beat the Washington Wizards 106-101 on Monday night.
Kris Humphries, who was the team's original starting power forward at the beginning of the season before falling out of the rotation, added 20 points and nine boards for Brooklyn. Mirza Teletovic...
The Brooklyn Nets still don't know who they'll play in the first round of the playoffs, but they hope to be fully rested and healthy once it starts.
With the Eastern Conference's fourth seed locked up, the Nets will go for their first season sweep of the Detroit Pistons in franchise history and sixth win in seven games overall Wednesday night in Brooklyn.
Does this guy ever not kill the Nets? Answer: No
No more regular season road games, no more chance of 50-win season, no more chance of #3 seed. A weird effort from the Nets commenced on Sunday afternoon, as the team that was coming off two major wins over playoff teams was thoroughly outclassed and outplayed by the team that has been out of the postseason...
Locked into the Eastern Conference's No. 4 seed, the Brooklyn Nets have little to play for down the stretch.
Making sure they're fresh for the playoffs is a much bigger priority.
Deron Williams is one of several players who could be rested as the Nets open a season-ending two-game homestand against the Washington Wizards on Monday night.
While Brooklyn (47-33) had a chance...

Regardless of what players they're missing due to injury, Tom Thibodeau's Bulls never give up, ever
Even though the Nets have been firmly entrenched in the #4 spot in the Eastern Conference for awhile now, who will face them in the 1st round of the playoffs (the #5 seed) still hasn't been determined yet, and the race for the spot between the Bulls...

The Wizards went into Brooklyn last night to play a game that would easily be mistaken for a Summer League matchup. With several key contributors from both teams sitting out the rest of the season, it was a battle between sloppy...
They say that two types of people need to rely on "sleight of hand": magicians and NBA point guards.During Sunday's Brooklyn Nets/Toronto Raptors game, Deron Williams used a pretty fancy fake pass to get past the Toronto defense for the easy lay-up:
The Wizards' 2012-13 campaign is winding down to a finish this week, prepping us for our last in-season 3-on-3 segment. Here's what's on tap:
So the Wizards recently decided to pull the plug on Nene, Trevor Ariza and Martell Webster for the remaining two games of the season, giving the injured trio a headstart to their offseason as they nurse some nagging injuries...
As another NBA season comes to an end, the league’s superstars are set for more glory as some of them will be given end of season awards. It looks as if yet another MVP trophy is set to be added to an all ready full trophy closet in Lebron’s mansion. He will step up to a podium and will deliver the same boring speech about how he is just so grateful for his teammates and is just...
The 2012-2013 season has been a trying season for the youth of the Washington Wizards, but it is just a rough patch in their growth. Throughout the season we have seen injuries to John Wall, Trevor Booker and now Bradley Beal, but when this trio has been healthy and got minutes they have performed. Add Kevin Seraphin, the raw but athletic big man and the potential filled Jan Vesley...
