Offseason Movement: The team acquired forwards Desmond Mason and Joe Smith as part of the three-way trade that sent Luke Ridnour to the Bucks. Basically, it was a salary dump, as Mason and Smith are both in the final years of their contracts. They'll back up Jeff Green and Chris Wilcox, respectively.

Kobe to be offered 83 million by Greek Team
Well looks like they are going to go after the big stars. I know Kobe's got a good life here but thats a pretty tempting offer for anyone.

Kobe Bryant to Greece for $83million?
Along with US$83million (?60million) tax free, Kobe would also receive a yacht, and villa on the Mediterranean from the Athenian team Olympiacos BC. The report also mentions that Olympiacos would renovate Peace & Friendship Arena to bring seating capacity to between 15,000 and 20,000 and put the Greek stadium on par with an NBA gym.
Glove Believes NBA Will Be Back In Seattle By 2011
The "Seattle Post-Intelligencer" reported Monday that former Seattle SuperSonics point guard Gary Payton believes that the NBA will have a team back in the "Emerald City" by 2011. Payton also said that he had no desire for the Oklahoma City Thunder to retire his uniform number.

Kobe Bryant is probably the NBA's best lockdown defender. When he wants to shut someone down, it usually happens. That is why it is so rare to see Kobe get broken like this. Beno Udrih of the Sacramento Kings put a spin move that sent Kobe sprawling to the floor. My guess is the MVP will put that in the memory bank and make Udrih pay for this later.
