The San Antonio Spurs (8-2) will visit the TD Garden tonight as they will face off against the Boston Celtics (6-5) in Boston.
The Spurs are coming off an loss to the Clippers described as "embarrassing" by head coach Gregg Popovich while the Celtics are coming off a big loss to the Pistons, however, Boston has not played since Sunday and will be fresh for this game.
To get Spurs and Celtics fans ready for tonight's clash between these two veteran teams, I turn to friend of Project Spurs, John Karalis over at Red's Army, to talk about tonight's games.
John discusses Boston's early season performance, the Rondo-Parker matchup, Boston's weakness, and mch more.
Jeff: At 6-5 early in the season, are there concerns on the Celtics' play after 11 games?
John: The main concern is rebounding, which is nothing new, really, for the Celtics. They're horrible at it. It just kills them when they watch opponents extend possession af...

Rajon Rondo: Stat Padder?
After Rajon Rondo stayed on the floor in the final minutes of a blowout loss to the Detroit Pistons, many fans around the league have accused him of stat-padding. This is not the first time we've seen Rondo manufacture stats, such as passing up easy 2 on 0 layups or trying to score in the very last second when a game is over.
I understand the criticism, but at the same time...
Video: Rajon Rondo talks sneakers
The fine folks at Dime Magazine sent me this video of their interview with Rajon Rondo as he talks sneakers. If it looks like Rondo has a new pair of kicks on almost every game it's because he does. He says he wears his shoes a max of two games (and then gives them to fans).
Rajon Rondo’s Assist Streak Keeps Going and Going and…
Rajon Rondo does things on the court many dream of. He will never win a 3-point contest or run a kids basketball camp on how to shoot correctly, but the man is fun to watch. His recent achievements are historic.
Rondo has his eye on breaking Magic Johnson’s NBA record for consecutive regular-season games with double-digit assists. Johnson respectively had 46 games in row followed...

While you are digesting your Thanksgiving turkey, enjoy some of the bright spots of the game yesterday. Rajon Rondo dropped 22 points and 15 assists and almost brought the Celtics back, as the Celtics lost 112-102.

Rajon Rondo’s Double-Digit Assists Streak Matters to Him, So Celtics Are Smart to Make It Matter to Them As Well
Asked over and over about what his streak of consecutive games with double-digit assists meant to him, Rajon Rondo came back with the same answer every time.
“It means my teammates are making shots,” he said repeatedly after the Celtics’ win over the Toronto Raptors on Saturday, when he extended his streak to 33 games. And that was that, pretty much.
Rondo’s streak reached...
Friday’s Funbag: Hot NFL Fans, Amazing NASA Technologies, and a Rajon Rondo Fan
Click on the photo for more hot NFL girls Every single week the NFL seems to be getting better and better. It’s not necessarily the story lines or even the action itself. It’s more of what goes on off the field. And each week that goes by there’s more potential for ladies around the country [...]
THANKSGIVING TREAT
Celtics' Rondo, Sullinger visit Boys & Girls Club
Sharp passes aren’t the only things Celtics players Rajon Rondo and Jared Sullinger were dishing out this Thanksgiving. The pair made their way to the Jordan Boys & Girls Club in Chelsea, Mass., to celebrate a holiday treat. The Boston Celtics’ charity, the Shamrock Foundation, made a gift of musical resources to the local children. Rondo and Sullinger jumped right in and...
Video: Celtics/Spurs postgame interviews
Rajon Rondo and Doc Rivers meet the press following the Celtics Wednesday night loss to the Spurs.
Videos courtesy of Mike Petraglia.
Doc needs to take the plunge
Last night the Celtics squared off against a team with one of the best coaches in the league– Gregg Popovich, and they were simply outperformed on both ends of the floor. As I pointed out yesterday, the Spurs and Celtics are in many ways mirror images of one another, with an aging core and valuing similar basketball philosophies. Doc echoed these sentiments when asked about...
Rondo The Silent Killer: YOUR 2012-2013 NBA MVP
I just got back from an 8-hour drive this Saturday with only one thing on my mind…except for a couple X-rated things. I just wanted to sit on my couch, watch the Celtics play the not so exciting Raptors. Why would I be so enthralled over one lousy regular season game? The answer has two words. RAJON RONDOOOOOOO. Man, I haven’t been so excited over a player on the Celtics since...
Recap: Spurs handle the Celtics inside & out in a 112-100 loss
This just in: the Spurs are REALLY good. Between their incredible chemistry and remarkable passing, it was just too much for the Celtics to handle. Whether it was the FIFTY EIGHT points inside the paint or the 8-of-16 shooting from downtown, the Spurs just showed the Celtics what a title contender looks like a 112-100 loss. Thiago Splitter led the way with 23 points on 9-of -11...
Spurs upend Celtics behind Parker's 26 points
BOSTON -- Spurs coach Gregg Popovich was waiting for Tony Parker to break out. That's just what Parker did Wednesday night, leading San Antonio to a 112-100 victory over the Celtics in the opener of the Spurs' five-game road trip. "This was his best game in a while," Popovich said after Parker scored 26 points and dished out six assists in the road win. "...
Celtics Get Blown Out By Detroit, Drop To 6-5 On Young Season
Nobody outside of Detroit expected the Pistons, who were a measly 1-9 before Sunday's game, to defeat the Celtics. Well, they did...by 20 points. It was a little more than twenty-four hours after the C's had beaten the Toronto Raptors (after a late push by Boston) that the Pistons and Celtics tipped off in the Motor City. Boston came in winning three of its last four games...
Spurs lose Jackson in loss to Clippers
“Of all our games, this game is in the soft category. We never had five guys who competed hard enough to win the basketball game.”
That was San Antonio Spurs head coach Gregg Popovich on Monday evening after his Spurs fell to the Los Angeles Clippers 92-87 at home.
“The Clippers played aggressively and competed at a top level for 48 minutes,” continued Popovich, “I...
