Found December 31, 2012 on Celtics Life:
I love Kevin Garnett. I'm sure I'm not the only one, but the reason I love him might be a bit different than most. It's the way he talks. Guy is just so damn passionate about everything, especially his basketball team. That's why following the C's worst road trip since the Civil War - it was no surprise to see Garnett come out after the game with an interesting perspective. KG was asked about the team's horrific performance on defense this year compared to year's past (the Celtics rank 18th in the NBA in points allowed per game this season. They have finished in the top 5 in each of the previous five seasons), and he didn't mince words, per MassLive.com. We built something here, I’m not living in the past or nothing, but the reason why guys came back and made additions to this team is because of what we built here. We’ve been known to defend. For some reason we’ve gotten away from that, so we’ve got to go back to our origins and figure it out. I told ...

My first Boston Celtics' Game Gone Wrong

Celticslife writers looking good Disappointing, disgrace, upsetting. That is exactly how I felt going to my first Boston Celtics' game last night. I was really excited to go, and when I first bought the ticket in October, I thought it would be a guaranteed win, but I was totally wrong. I first met Paul Pierce in 2002, giving away signed autographs of his game "NBA Inside...

Avery Bradley Not Being Counted Upon as Savior for Celtics But Can Ease Rajon Rondo’s Load Defensively

WALTHAM, Mass. — Avery Bradley must have left his green-tinted halo at home, because the Celtics’ supposed savior was missing his angelic glow on Tuesday. Bradley has not played competitively since May 18, yet many fans and observers seem to be counting on him to rescue the Celtics from their current slide. Bradley has heard those folks’ cries for help, but as he prepares to...

Dreaming of RON DMC

As the new year begins, the rumors surrounding the Celtics and coveted bigs like DeMarcus Cousins can only get louder.  Louder - that is - until the February trade deadline passes or until DMC is dealt to another team - whichever comes first.  It is quite possible that Danny Ainge will come away empty handed or with a less-coveted player but a (serious) change, moving forward...

Celtics complete their California trip with another big loss to Kings: 96-118

Rondo's return did not help things at all. Remember the game back in March against Kings? Oh, OK, then you didn't have to see this one. In case you don't remember how that one ended, well, Celtics lost again as they were not able to handle a depleted Kings backcourt. No Aaron Brooks, no Tyreke Evans, no Marcus Thornton (in second half)? No problem. They had Isaiah Thomas...

Coincidence or Fate?

The Boston Celtics finish the year with a game against the Sacramento Kings at their stadium. In the last handful of years, the above sentence didn´t hold any special significance. The Kings haven´t been a true team since the end of the Webber years and the Celtics have been a powerhouse in the league. It would normally be just a game in which the team would coast and would win...
