PAU RIGHT IN THE KISSER
Pau Gasol's comments following his end-of-the-season meeting with Lakers brass indicate he has no idea what the future holds as far as his place on the team is concerned.
When Pau Gasol arrived in Los Angeles five years ago, he was the missing link for the desperately rebuilding Lakers. His passing, vision, skill and selflessness fit seamlessly into Phil Jackson's triangle offense, and suddenly the Lakers were back to being the Lakers feared, loathed and on their way to three straight NBA Finals appearances and back-to-back titles.

The 4-year-old gelding named Siempre Mo is entered in Saturday's sixth race, a $54,000 allowance race. He will be ridden by Joy Scott.

Kobe Bryant and Pau Gasol spent the final minutes of the Los Angeles Lakers' final game arguing in Oklahoma City, disagreeing on the best way to run a pick-and-roll play.

Now that Lakers’ season has finally ended in a fiery train-wreck of a spectacle, the obligatory finger pointing can officially begin. Pau Gasol and Andrew Bynum are sure to see their fare share of blame. Even Kobe Bryant, with his “no free handouts” performance in Game 4, shouldn’t be immune to criticism.
Mike Brown, deservedly or not, is likely to face a great deal of heat...
24 hours after the Los Angeles Lakers’ 2012 playoff ouster, the weather remains sunny in Los Angeles, although the future of the Lakers remains as ominous and as cloudy as ever. The Lakers are officially cap-strapped, have an aging core, lack perimeter shooting, lack consistency at the PG position, and no longer have the same chemistry that once made them title contenders. But...
Are bloggers allowed to paraphrase U2 or can I only quote groups like Wu-Tang, Mobb Deep, Tribe Called Quest or solo acts like Talib Kweli?
Either way, U2 just happened in this post. It's also how Los Angeles Lakers fans must feel after seeing there team get embarrassed in the second round of the playoffs for the second year in a row.
Assuming they pick up Andrew Bynum...

I could bore you with the stats from last night's game. Tell you Kobe Bryant shot 18-of-33 from the field for 42 points, or that he had zero assists. I could tell you Pau Gasol had 14 points and 16 rebounds, and that Andrew Bynum managed only three rebounds to go with his 11 points. I keep saying I could bore you with those stats when I obviously already did...
