Last night the 5 Non-Lebrons started Alonzo Gee at the shooting guard position and he responded by producing 17/1/1 with 2 steals, a block and a three in 35 minutes of burn. Over his last 5 games, Alonzo has averaged 31 mpg/.500 FG/.800 FT/14.8 ppg/3.8 rpg/.8 apg/2.4 spg/1.2 3pg/.4 bpg. These numbers scream “pick me up, please!”. It is possible to scream and be polite at the same time? I’m not sure, but I digress. In any event, the 2 guard is not an ideal position for Alonzo but Omri Casspi has been playing rather crappy at small forward so it’s fairly reasonable to assume Alonzo could see nice minutes there when Daniel Gibson and Anthony Parker return from injury. I’d grab Gee in leagues with 14 or more teams pronto and monitor very closely or spec grab in standard leagues. Remember, good peoples, fantasy sleepers come mostly from bad teams mid-season.
