For those craving basketball in summer, we’re happy to announce the Celtics will participate in the Orlando Summer League (they will not field a team in Las Vegas). Boston joins the Nets, Pistons, Rockets, Pacers, Heat, Thunder, 76ers and Jazz. Each team will play 4 games and a playoff game. Who can we expect on the Celtics squad? Shav Randolph, DJ White and former Knicks center Jerome Jordan will reportedly play for Boston. I would almost guarantee that Fab Melo and whomever Danny Ainge nabs with the 16th pick are on the roster. Avery Bradley and Jared Sullinger will NOT participate. The excitement begins July 7th. Last year we sent John to cover the team in Las Vegas. Despite the repeated arrests and banning from the Spearmint Rhino, John did a tremendous job. We’re hoping to send him to Orlando this year. How much trouble can one person get into in Orlando? (h/t Mass Live, SB Nation and Boston Globe)
