The Celtics have announced that injured forward Glen “Big Baby” Davis, and guards Von Wafer and Delonte West will not play Wednesday night against the Los Angeles Clippers.
Delonte West is on a game by game basis at this point with his injured ankle. Said head coach Doc Rivers: “[Delonte] is not going to play tomorrow and I think he’s doubtful for Friday [at Philadelphia] as well, we’re hoping for Sunday”
The reports on the recovery of Glen Davis, and his injured knee, are encouraging, however, said Doc Rivers: “Baby said he felt great today, but we’re going to hold him out for the next two games for sure.”
Wafer is about 1 week away whilst he nurses a strained calf.
In the meantime, expect newbies Troy Murphy and Jeff Green to pick up the extra minutes
