It's Charles Barkley's 50th birthday today. We decided to pay the man a little tribute. First off, check out all the amazing quotes he has had. Next, read what our staff had to say about Sir Charles. (Did he ever earn the "sir"?)
Charles Barkley is kind of dumb but kind of smart. One of those type of guys. He'll say some really obvious things sometimes but clearly knows the game of basketball well. I just wonder who will replace Barkley when he retires in 15 years or so. Who in the NBA today is Barkley-like in the media? Someone that isn't too crazy and knows their stuff. I guess they don't have to be a complete clone of Chuck but someone who doesn't care who's listening. Metta World Peace, DeMarcus Cousins, and JaVale McGee all have a sight "Charles Barkley mindset" so they'd all make great candidates to replace him. – Mitch McClure

Charles Barkley is usually must-watch TV when he’s working NBA games. One can only imagine what Sir Charles is capable of when he steps away from the TNT desk. Viewers got a chance to find out on Thursday as the former NBA star came on down for The Price Is Right, joining host Drew Carey to bid on several items from his past. While he severely undersold a vintage DVD of Look Who’s...
It’s been “Celebrity Week” on The Price is Right. Among the celebrities who have appeared or will appear this week include Sharon Osbourne, Demi Lovato, Drew and Nick Lachey. But for the purposes of sports blogs — which is what this site aspires to be on its best days — the best celebrity the long-running daytime talk show once hosted by Bob Barker and now hosted by the...

Yes, that’s Charles Barkley’s mother, Charcey Glenn, speaking about her son turning 50 (on February 20) during a TNT bit during all-star weekend festivities. At first this looked to be a goof. We started wondering whether that was Charles in a wig.
TNT, obviously not in the mood to do more Michael Jordan 50th retrospectives, aired “Sir Charles...
Did you hear that Michael Jordan turned 50? Of course you did, thanks to a week of ESPN using Michael Jordan’s birthday to sell commercials. Meanwhile, Charles Barkley turns 50 today and didn’t get a retrospective on the WWL.
There’s no mention of it that we can find on ESPN.com/NBA. It doesn’t help that The Round Mound of Rebound works for TNT. That usually means your 50th...
Being a little girl growing up in a basketball centric area like Indiana was one of the richest experiences of my life, but like most of the country, and being a short distance away from Chicago, everyone – my sister, my best friends, Joel, Wes, and Timothy, my basketball coach, my composition teacher, heck even [...]The post Happy 50th Birthday, Charles Barkley appeared first...
Recently, TNT NBA analyst Charles Barkley took a trip to Television Studios in Hollywood and stopped by "The Price Is Right".Prior to a taping of the actual show, Charles got the chance to play a pricing game to win cash for the audience. The catch was that each item had something to with Barkley himself and you'll see how he does in the below clip:
It’s celebrity week on the The Price Is Right, and what do you know?..Charles Barkley “came on down” to be the next contestant in a game with host, Drew Carey. Barkley had to guess the retail value of a few items from his past, including a “Look Who’s Talking Now” DVD (film he appeared in), Nike Air Max Barkley’s, and pal, Kenny Smith’s, 1988 Fleer basketball card.

Derrick Rose’s brother went off on the Bulls management about not making in trades and Charles Barkley said what everyone else was thinking.
It isn’t unusual for siblings and parents to speak up, but they are doing much more harm than good, so know your role and shut your mouth. You aren’t the star, so stop acting like one.
