Happy Hour – Turning 30

In just two days I say goodbye to my 20s and hello to my 30s. This is a time that I have been dreading. Years ago, I planeed on locking myself in my room on my 30th birthday, drinking a 40 of Hurricane, and crying. I am happy to report that some time and perspective haven’t left me feeling that dire about Saturday. Instead, I will have some friends over and be treated to lots of food this weekend. I have had friends that are in their 30s tell me that this decade will be better than my 20s. There are a lot of firsts that will happen for me in my 30s. First home, first children, etc. I am sure those things will bring me happiness in ways I can’t even imagine right now.
