Has Ex-Magic Player Darko Milicic Turned the Corner?

Will Darko Finally Resemble a #2 Overall Pick? Darko Milicic has been deemed a bust by everyone except himself.  Championed as the “Human Victory Cigar” during his  years in Detroit, he struggled to see court time early on in his career.  Now, in Minnesota, he is playing rather decent, until last night when he exploded, posting career highs of 23 points, 16 rebounds, 6 blocks, and 5 assists.  Granted he can’t put up numbers like this every night, but it wasn’t like his outburst came against the Suns either.  He did it against a tough Laker defense.  It might have only been one game, but for 48 minutes we got a view of just what made Darko Milicic once worth a number two overall draft pick.  If he could even produce half of those numbers (12 ppg, 8 rpg, 3 bpg) he would be deemed a relative success in comparison to early in his career.  The years he spent with the Magic weren’t bad, but by no means were they a wild success, and it would be nice to see Dar...
