Seeing as David Stern and the NBA prefer putting superstar-led teams on ESPN and TNT, and AT&T U-Verse doesn’t have NBA TV available for po’ folk like me, I don’t get to watch Javale McGee’s crazy ass play as much as I’d like to. So I have to depend on Twitter and the great Denver bloggers and writers that I follow to fill me in on the crazy things he says or does each week. It also helps that McGee has his own Twitter account, and his Goofus ways inspire a new meme practically every other week (see above). But every once in a while, McGee stops sipping the crazy juice long enough to show a flash of brilliance that could be put in the shoe box of evidence that he uses to proclaim his status as one of the best centers in the NBA. Well, at least he’s paid like he believes that.Last night was one of those brilliant moments, as McGee was on the receiving end of a ¾-court pass from Andre Miller for an alley-oop jam. Of course, the Nuggets lost to the Brooklyn Nets, 119-108, but it’s s...

Tweet Leading up to the Miami Heat’s game on Tuesday night, LeBron James was the hot topic all day. Talking heads all over the place gawked over LeBron’s streak of games with 30+ points and 60 percent shooting, a streak that he stretched to an NBA-record six games against Portland last night. However, in the [...]
LeBron James becomes is playing otherworldly basketball. King James scored 30 points and shoot 60 percent in six consecutive games.
In Tuesday's shootout win over the Portland Trail Blazers, James scored 30 points (11-of-15 shooting and 7-of-8 from the line) with a three, six rebounds, nine assists, three steals and two blocks in 39 minutes. It's just not fair. And poor...
Heat forward LeBron James has been lights out in his past seven games. James has been scoring at will and has lead the Heat on a seven game winning streak. LeBron has had record performance with at least 30 points and 60 percent shooting in six straight games. Anytime an all-star player is on a great streak, the media and fans start up the debate who is the best player to have played...
LeBron James, the greatest NBA player in this current era is most certainly going to draw comparisons to the greatest player of the previous era in Michael Jordan. And yes at this point the haters of King James (which I was one) certainly have to bow down at this point. He’s better than Durant and [...]
LeBron has been simply phenomenal this season. It will be very hard for any other player to overcome him in the MVP race
I'm sure you've heard of all the ridiculous, superhuman-like stats that LeBron James of the Heat has put up recently in the month of February in which James' Heat have played six games, five of which they have won. A shooting percentage...
Justin Jackson showed why he is one of the nation's top prospects in 2014 at LeBron James Skills Academy. Here's a highlight reel of him at the event.
Some plays are impressive, while others are just flat out ridiculous. Check out Denver Nuggets JaVale McGee as he throws down a 3/4 court pass from teammate Andre Miller. As impressive as this play was, the Brooklyn Nets went on to beat Denver 119-108.
It wouldn't be a week here at That NBA Lottery Pick without a memorable highlight from Denver Nuggets forward JaVale McGee.On this Wednesday night, Denver is in Brooklyn to face the Nets and the first quarter saw Andre Miller feed a half court alley-opp that JaVale slammed down:
Yesterday NBA TV was running an NBA Slam Dunk Contest marathon, which is pretty much porn for a sports degenerate like myself. They showed the 1988 MJ vs Dominique dunk contest directly after the 2000 Vinansity dunk contest. I have no doubt that these are the best two dunk contests ever. In 1988 Michael Jordan vs Dominique Wilkins was the most epic back and forth battle in slam dunk...
The All-Star break does not completely split the season in half. In terms of games. We are past the midpoint, but it is still a good opportunity to take a look back on what we have seen so far this year.
Here are some of the more interesting storylines that have stood out to me so far this season, presented as song titles for a little extra spice.
(Note: I am very surprised by...
