Found September 19, 2010 on Swarm & Sting:

The New Orleans Hornets are supposedly one of several Western Conference teams interested in the services of Kyrylo Fesenko a member of the Utah Jazz. Brian Smith of the Salt Lake Tribune has the intial report as per Dime Magazine:

According to the Salt Lake Tribune’s Brian T. Smith, the Rockets and two other Western Conference teams have shown recent interest in Fesenko.

Smith expands on the other teams via his twitter feed.

#Hornets#HoustonRockets#Cavs and #Warriors have all shown interest in Fesenko. But #UtahJazz are still the most likely option.

Waiting game between #UtahJazz, Fesenko could stretch out at least another week unless another #NBAteam makes an offer.

Now it would seem that the two front-runners to the seven footer’s services are the Utah Jazz and the Houston Rockets. However if the Hornets were extremely interested in the big-man’s services they could step up the offer with a two-year deal, somewhat similar to Aaron Gray’s.

I don’t think the Hornets will pursue him unless of course they are extremely desperate for backup big-men help. With the partial signing of Darryl Watkins I don’t really see the absolute necessity of it. Because when you think about it, the Hornets would have to offer him a two-year deal, and that deal would have to be bigger than the Rockets and Jazz’s, which I don’t think we can do without going over the luxury tax.

Remember what I’m saying is mostly speculation as to “what if the Hornets go after him.” But because news is slow I thought it was interesting to know that Dell is being very active out there hunting out any possible options for team depth.
