Anthony Davis has had an injury-prone rookie season.  He suffered a concussion early in the season that caused him to miss time, and now he has missed the New Orleans' Hornets last 11 games with a sprained ankle.  However, the number one overall pick is nearing return.  He could play tonight against the Washington Wizards. If Davis cannot return tonight, he will probably return tomorrow night against the Oklahoma City Thunder says John Reid of the New Orleans Times-Picayune.  Reid said Davis was cleared for full-contact practiced and was able to participate in drills with the team Monday.  This was the first step to his return.  If he shows he is ready, Davis will play tonight.  He is currently listed as a game-time decision. Davis has already proven to be an impact player for the Hornets.  Unfortunately, he has only played in six games this season.  In those six games, Davis is averaging 16.0 points per game and 8.3 rebounds per game.  He has managed to carry over his college success to the pro level, and he has actually improved his offense it seems.  At Kentucky, Davis averaged 14.2 points per game.  Granted NBA games are longer, Davis still has made a commitment to improving his offense and it shows. The Hornets are in the midst of another rough season.  Davis' return will help, but it won't be enough to carry them into the postseason.  The team is rebuilding, and Davis will be one of the key parts.  For now, he will have to settle for being one of the big draws for fans coming to the arena. Wizards-Hornets Preview

While there's a chance Anthony Davis could return to the New Orleans Hornets' lineup as early as Tuesday night, recent news surrounding fellow former No. 1 overall pick John Wall hasn't been as promising. That doesn't bode well for a Washington Wizards team that saw a couple of other key players go down last week. The Hornets try for a sixth win in eight matchups...

What to make of the New Orleans Hornets

The New Orleans Hornets are 5-14, have lost eight of their last ten and have been outscored by an average of over seven points per game in those ten games. So things aren't going very well. Good news awaits, however, the New Orleans Time-Picayune is reporting that Davis practiced Monday and could be back as early as Tuesday (H/T to SB Nation). So what do we make of the soon...

Wizards 77, Hornets 70

NEW ORLEANS -- If there is truth in advertising, a game pitting the NBA teams with the worst records in their respective conferences lived down to its billing. Jordan Crawford broke open a tie game midway through the fourth quarter with a 3-pointer and driving layup and foul shot to lift the Washington Wizards to their first road win of the season, a 77-70 victory over the New...

Austin Rivers Learns to Shop for Groceries

Apparently Doc Rivers was too busy being the head coach of the Boston Celtics to teach his son some valuable lessons in life. Doc's son Austin Rivers, who plays guard for the New Orleans Hornets (soon to be Pelicans?) has a tough time shopping for groceries, and apparently can't parallel park. If we can take anything from this video it may be showing us that the driving...
