As previously noted here on That NBA Lottery Pick, we love poster dunks and during last night's Indiana Pacers/New Orleans Hornets game, there was a quality one.It happened in the fourth quarter of the game after a missed shot by Hornets guard Greivis Vazquez which was cleaned up by rookie forward Anthony Davis over Roy Hibbert:Earlier in the game, Davis decided to reverse it up with this nasty slam on a reverse alley-oop:

Anthony Davis throws down reverse alley-oop

Tweet   While much of the talk surrounding the New Orleans Hornets lately has been about them possibly becoming the Pelicans, Mosquitos, Swamp Dogs, Bullsharks, or Rougarou rookie Anthony Davis and third-year man Greivis Vásquez are having solid seasons thus far. Vásquez is averaging a career-high 12.6 points and his 8.7 assists per game is [...]

Eric Gordon Practices For First Time Since October, Hopes To Return This Month

New Orleans Hornets shooting guard Eric Gordon was so excited Monday about participating in his first full-contact practice since October that he showed up two hours early. Other than needing more conditioning work, Gordon practiced for two hours at the New Orleans Arena without having any problems or restrictions. Gordon has missed all 27 games this season because of a patella...

David West makes Anthony Davis his ***** as Pacers rally to down Hornets

No. 1 overall pick Anthony Davis is already a good player and, barring injury, will probably one day become one of the best players in the entire NBA. But in the last 3:40 of the Pacers' 81-75 win over the Hornets on Saturday night he was merely David West's *****. West, who only had 5 points in the first half as the Hornets raced to a 46-29 lead at the break, scored...

Williams: Gordon to play, won't start vs. Bobcats

New Orleans Hornets coach Monty Williams says guard Eric Gordon will play for the first time this season Saturday night against the Charlotte Bobcats. Gordon only played in nine games last season for the Hornets after being acquired in a trade. He had arthroscopic surgery on his knee last season because of a bone bruise. Williams wouldn't say how many minutes Gordon will play...

Ryan Anderson makes return to Orlando

Ryan Anderson played his last game with the Magic seven months ago. When he returns to Orlando on Wednesday, it might seem more like seven years ago. Management has changed. The coaching staff is completely different. Only two Magic players are expected to get minutes who had been teammates with Anderson last May. Its going to be different, obviously, said Anderson, a forward who...

Pacers rally to beat Hornets

NEW ORLEANS (AP) -- David West made himself right at home -- at the New Orleans Hornets' expense. The former Hornets forward scored 20 of his 25 points in the second half and the Indiana Pacers overcame a 22-point deficit to beat New Orleans 81-75 on Saturday night, handing the Hornets their 11th straight loss. "As a group we felt that we had to get our legs back,"...

Magic Left Ryan Anderson 'In The Wind'

Ryan Anderson was acquired by the Hornets in a sign-and-trade in the offseason during his restricted free agency.

Pacers 99, Cavaliers 89

Roy Hibbert scored 18 points and Lance Stephenson added a season-high 16 to lead the Indiana Pacers to a 99-89 win over the Cleveland Cavaliers, who lost their sixth straight game Friday night. Hibbert didn't have to deal with injured Cavs center Anderson Varejao, the NBA's leading rebounder. Varejao missed his second game in a row with a bruised right knee. David West...

Cavaliers fall to Pacers for 6th straight loss

CLEVELAND (AP) -- Roy Hibbert scored 18 points and Lance Stephenson added a season-high 16 to lead the Indiana Pacers to a 99-89 win over the Cleveland Cavaliers, who lost their sixth straight game Friday night. Hibbert didn't have to deal with injured Cavs center Anderson Varejao, the NBA's leading rebounder. Varejao missed his second game in a row with a bruised right...

Pacers celebrate survival of mankind with win over Cavs, again

We're alive, yay! The Indiana Pacers celebrated the passing of the Mayan doomsday prophecy by beating the Cavs in Cleveland, 99-89. Not much to say except that I thought the Cavs were going to be more competitive than they were, having previously been routed by the Pacers in Indiana not that long ago. But then again, I didn't expect them to be missing NBA rebounding...
