Charlotte traded Jason Richardson and Jared Dudley to the Phoenix Suns for Raja Bell and Boris Diaw earlier in the day. The two newest Bobcats did not play, and small forward Gerald Wallace was not on the floor for personal reasons. If the New Orleans Hornets felt even the slightest empathy for their opponents, they did not show it on the court as they beat up the Bobcats 105-89.
