Houston welcoming Dwight Howard At the USA Basketball’s mini-camp, Parsons told the media he lured Dwight Howard to Houston. “I think I had a big impact,” Parsons said at USA Basketball’s mini-camp. He believes he deserves a lot more credit for it. The first thing Dwight Howard said at the press conference was, “Chandler is the guy you all should really thank.” It turns out power-forward Chandler Parsons decided to switch agents this May of 2013 with the idea of wanting to be represented by a “power agent.” Coincidently, he decided to sign with agent Dan Fegan, Howard’s agent. Sharing the same agent stemmed their relationship. “I spent a lot of time during the summer in L.A.,” Parsons said. “We kind of just hit it off. We literally would text every day.” At the press conference, Howard confirmed that statement, “dude stayed hitting me up.” I was just that guy trying to make him feel as comfortable as possible. We have very similar personalities. We are both outgoing. We’re always smiling. We like to have fun. I made him really comfortable that he was not only coming to a really good team, but a team with his friends on It. – Chandler Parsons  Dwight Howard, like every NBA Star has his needs. He presents himself as goofy, youthful, and with a mentality of always wanting to have fun. Judging by his expressions and body language, he didn’t have that in Los Angeles; something was missing. Parsons friendship was the key to Howard’s decision. He was looking for someone who could share a vision, a friendship, and who could be loyal to him.  “It’s going to be hostile environments, it’s going to be rowdy, but that’s what we play this game for. Those are the most exciting games. We’re going to be the villain going to play different teams,” shared Parsons with Howard. What is more exciting than a man with a vision? Chandler Parsons, you are “that guy.” Red Nation, fasten your seat belts, it’s going to be a bumpy ride.
