The once starting point guard for the Indiana Pacers is looking to get back to the NBA. And if that means working his way up from the D-League to get there, that’s what he’s planning to do. Tinsley has sent in the needed paperwork to enter Thursday’s NBA Development League draft, sources told Yahoo! Sports. Tinsley, 33, averaged 9.8 points and 6.6 assists per game through eight NBA seasons while starting 366 of 436 career regular-season games. He last played in the NBA with the Memphis Grizzlies during the 2009-10 season. The deadline to enter the D-League draft is Tuesday. The Los Angeles D-Fenders have the first pick in Thursday’s draft. Jamaal Tinsley wants to return to the NBA and will enter the D-League draft in an effort to begin his comeback.
A seasoned University of Memphis professor walked up to Grizzlies owner Michael Heisley and waited patiently.
So long as the lockout drags on, we’re going to see NBA exhibition and charity games put on by players. There is a one in San Jose this coming weekend featuring Warriors old and new, with more on the way. One will be in Memphis next Tuesday and is being put together by Rudy Gay,…

Mark Jackson will also have to wait to show us whether or not he’s capable of coaching an NBA team. Had the Lakers gone on the road to visit the Warriors, it would’ve been his first game as a head coach–and you know what that means–he wouldn’t have been...

As Antonio Daniels and Antoine Walker showed last year, that group doesn’t entirely consist of undrafted rookies or former college standouts bouncing back after a few years in…
The Texas Legends are likely to walk away with either Alando Tucker or Jamaal Tinsley.
A few quick revisions to my D-League draft guide, courtesy of our friend Eric Musselman, the coach of the Los Angeles D-Fenders. Musselmans team picks first in tonights draft. Barring a last-minute change of plans, the D-Fenders will take former NBA point guard Jamaal Tinsley.
Musselman is a writer himself, having maintained a popular blog a few years ago before getting back into...
