TEAMS: Atlanta Hawks, Dallas Mavericks, Miami Heat, Orlando Magic, Brooklyn Nets
After watching Gary Payton and Jason Terry win championships, it is only natural for Jamal Crawford to be a little jealous. It is time for him to chase and hopefully capture that elusive championship ring. Here are the 3 teams most likely to sign him.
1. Miami Heat
It helps quite a bit when LeBron James vocalized his support of the team adding you to the roster, which he did earlier this summer via Twitter. Crawford’s versatility and his ability to make clutch shots make him an ideal fit for the Miami Heat. If “The King” does not have the ball in his hands late in the game, it would be in the best interest of the team. The organization needs to add a hungry veteran to the ball club.
2. Dallas Mavericks
The Dallas Mavericks love to create matchup problems and Crawford can play either guard position, which would give the team even more offensive punch off of the bench. He has never been a huge locker room problem and if he is willing to drop his salary a little, I believe Mark Cuban would strongly consider adding him to the team.
3. New Jersey Nets
He has a long relationship with Jay Z and with the team serious about adding Dwight Howard, things certainly look optimistic for a team that will soon be called the Brooklyn Nets. Crawford can score and they have to find a way to at least keep fans entertained, which is why they should add one of the smoothest offensive guard talents in the NBA.
