Fair or not, Ray Allen has gotten plenty of criticism for joining the Heat.credit: http://jaipals.com Jason Terry was essentially brought into Boston to be the replacement for Ray Allen, one of the greatest shooters in NBA history who helped the Celtics win a championship alongside Paul Pierce and Kevin Garnett. When Allen left for the rival Miami Heat, he caught a fair share of criticism from the Boston fans. Ray looks to be a great fit in Miami, where he can serve as a floor spacer for LeBron James and Dwyane Wade to attack the rim. While the Celtics have yet to put it all together this year, it isn’t stopping Jason Terry from taking a jab at the former Celtic. Via CSN: “His (Pierce) willingness to stick through the tough times and not just jump off, ‘I’m out of here! I’m going to join forces with Kobe (Bryant),’ or ‘I’m going to play with Dwyane Wade’ — that’s a shot right there,” Terry said. Terry was referring to Paul Pierce’s monster game against the Cavaliers, where “The Truth” went for 40 points in a Celtics win. This is definitely a shot aimed at Ray Allen, who many think ditched town in the midst of a tough situation to go play with the superstar driven Miami Heat. I think all basketball fans would love to see a Celtics-Heat match up at some point in the playoffs, just to see everyone back up their talk and settle the matter on the court. Until that happens, I wouldn’t expect Terry to shut his mouth any time soon. -Mark Evans, Assistant Manager/Editor of Content Follow us on Twitter The post Jason Terry Takes A Shot At Ray Allen appeared first on Pass The Pill.
