Found February 23, 2012 on That NBA Lottery Pick:

During last night's Kings/Wizards game, Sacramento's Francisco Garcia attempted to drive the lane for a third-quarter bucket.

Wizards center JaVale McGee decided to swat the ball into the third row and got called for an obvious goal-tending violation:

After that block, McGee was promptly benched by head coach Randy Wittman.

Video: Javale McGee is a little frustrated

Washington Wizards center JaVale McGee has the talent to be a good player in the NBA.  He's also a 24-year old kid whose head seems to be a little elsewhere at times.  Those lapses produce hilarious results for the rest of us, but it's more faceplam than funny in Washington.   And with that I give you the latest funny-but-not-funny McGee moment. Coach Randy...

What Does the Future Hold For John Wall?

In what will hopefully be remembered as one of the most fitting epitomizations of a season in recent memory, Javal McGee’s brain fart against the Raptors aptly demonstrated what should’ve been obvious to all a long time ago: that the Washington Wizards are literally and figuratively heading in the wrong direction, much to the chagrin of John Wall, whose bemused reaction to his...

Wizards’ Andray Blatche, Ronny Turiaf close to returning

The Wizards have played the past 12 games without Andray Blatche and 29 without Ronny Turiaf, leaving the team with an inexperienced front line. Neither Blatche nor Turiaf will be back on Wednesday against Sacramento, but a team source said on Monday that both are expected to return soon after the team comes back from the all-star break. Video: Javale McGee With the Spike

It seems like we get one of these a week. Sure, it provides comedic relief but it’s one of the many reasons why the Wizards have struggled mightily this season. Oh well, if this basketball thing doesn’t work out for McGee, he might find a nice career in beach volleyball.

Tears of a Clown

The Wizards have become the laughing stock of the NBA. It seems as if every night the Wiz Kids add another highlight to its ever growing follies collection. The Wizards are constantly making the Top Ten highlight shows but it’s usually on the receiving end or the result of an inexplicable boneheaded play. There’s the highlight of JaVale McGee getting dunked on by Chandler Parsons...

Wizards’ small forward production contributing to shortcomings

At 7-25, the Wizards’ shortcomings are too numerous to isolate one as the sole cause of the team’s struggles. But if there is one area glaringly in need of improvement, it’s the production – or lack thereof – from the small forward position. Read full article >>

Ex-Wizards player Crittenton jailed on speeding charge

Former Washington Wizards player Javaris Crittenton was jailed on Wednesday after he refused to get out of his Porsche following a speeding ticket. Crittenton is out on bond on charges that he killed a woman in a drive-by shooting in Atlanta. On Wednesday, Riverdale (Ga.) police detailed that was pulled over after going more than 60 mph in a 45-mph zone. He then refused to sign...

Wizards ‘relapse’ in loss to Sacramento

The final game before the all-star break can be sort of a trap, with players trying to focus on completing the task at hand while also preparing for the upcoming mini-vacation. And for two teams headed for the lottery before the season is halfway done, the temptation is certainly there to hurry up and get on with the second half. Read full article >>

Kings-Wizards Preview

After a promising start, the Washington Wizards' road trip ended in miserable fashion. A matchup with the struggling Sacramento Kings during their return to Verizon Center could provide some positivity heading into the All-Star break. The Wizards will try to snap a three-game slide by adding to their recent home dominance of the Kings on Wednesday night. Washington recorded...

John Wall, DeMarcus Cousins have bond like brothers

ORLANDO, Fla. — During Wednesday night's game between the Sacramento and Washington, Kings center DeMarcus Cousins threw a laser of a cross-court pass — right to Wizards guard John Wall. For a moment, it was as if the pair forgot that they were no longer teammates at Kentucky. But despite ...
