C. J. Miles might be going to the team that he wants to sign with.
Miles, the former Utah Jazz swingman, has been vocal about signing with the Dallas Mavericks. And he has reportedly meet with Mavericks head coach Rick Carlisle in New York City.
Miles went to high school in Dallas. In addition, he is close friends with free agent point guard Deron Williams, who is hours away from meeting with the Mavericks and then the Brooklyn Nets.
He is hoping to sign for the mid-level exception. Last season, he made $3.7 million.
