Remember the Jeremy Lin “Linsanity” from about 13 months ago? Yeah, ESPN gave us a basketball version of Tim Tebow for awhile. Well Jeremy Lin will be back in the spotlight now that his alma mater, the Harvard basketball team were the talk the NCAA Tournament’s day. It didn’t happen until the very end of college basketball Christmas Day, but Harvard basketball upsetting New Mexico, a #14 seed over a #3 was the very first instance of madness this March. And with the Harvard basketball NCAA Tournament win, the first in school history,  elite, mega-rich, privileged white males finally had something go right for them for a change. AT LAST, a long-awaited lucky break for the overly entitled super-rich! The most famous son of Harvard basketball, Jeremy Lin, was rather excited about it. The Houston Rockets point guard tweeted: YYYYYEEEEESSSSSSSSS!!! HARVARD winssss!!! hahahahhah i told you…. #threepointgoggles #bracketbusters twitter.com/JLin7/status/3… — Jeremy Lin (@JLin7) March 22, 2013   It was a big win for one Big Ten washout coach (former Wolverines leader Tommy Amaker) over another Big Ten washout coach (failed Hawkeyes coach Steve Alford) However, having that one big dance victory now gives Harvard basketball a richer history than two Big Ten programs. Which is fitting since most Harvard alums are richer than nearly all of America. Paul M.
