According to a recent article in the Journal Times, former Utah Jazz coach Jerry Sloan will probably be coaching in the NBA next season.
Said the article:
Don’t be surprised if Hall of Fame coach Jerry Sloan is back on the sideline next season.
Sloan, who resigned just over a year ago after a remarkable career with the Utah Jazz, piqued the interest of some NBA teams during the offseason, one being the Indiana Pacers who eventually rehired Frank Vogel.
Sloan, who abruptly retired in February of 2011, turns 70 on March 28. He is one of only three coaches to have 15 consecutive winning seasons. The other two — Pat Riley and Phil Jackson.
Were Sloan to come out of retirement he would become the old active NBA head coach. Riley and Jackson, both of whom are retired, are both 66 years old.
