The Mavericks excited fans by offering an invitation through their D-League to Allen Iverson just weeks ago to play for the Texas Legends, which he turned down via Twitter.  It’s hard to believe AI will ever make a return to the court – especially after a judge ruled him an unfit parent with an alcohol problem, and ordered him to attend Alcoholics Anonymous meetings for a year. According to TMZ: “[Iverson] does not know how to manage the children; has little interest in learning to manage the children and has actually, at times, been a hindrance to their spiritual and emotional growth and development. For example, he has refused to attend to an obvious and serious alcohol problem, which has caused him to do inappropriate things in the presence of the children while impaired.
