The NBA Passionista:
Even the simplest of minds understand the regular season and the playoff season are two different animals entirely; regular season is all about vying for proper playoff seeding, while the postseason is about the championship. Defenses, bench, and rotations are tightened; halfcourt offense is in play, and there’s less of the showmanship we see in the regular [...]The post Kenyon Martin on the Los Angeles Clippers’ Playoff Hopes: “I hope they lose every game” Well, damn…. appeared first on The NBA Mistress.

The Los Angeles Clippers have one of the best records in the NBA, but they have not played particularly well over the past month or so. At one point, LA ripped off a string of 17 straight victories in the month of December and looked like an early-season title contender. Since March began, the Clippers have been unable to win back-to-back games.
On Sunday, LA put a fairly convincing...
Kenyon Martin has no love for former team
Kenyon Martin and the New York Knicks lost to the Clippers Sunday night, 80-93, in Los Angeles. Obviously it didn’t sit well with him (why would it, though?) and he had some sour grapes for his former team.
In reference to the Clippers speedy style of play and how it might translate during the playoffs, he said…
After losing to the Clippers 93-80 on Sunday, Knicks forward, Kenyon Martin, was unimpressed with Lob City and his former team’s style of play.
According to The New York Times:
The Clippers had eight dunks against the Knicks. Martin does not see that style of play translating well in the postseason. He remembers how the Clippers were swept by the San Antonio Spurs in the second...
Los Angeles Clippers star Blake Griffin finished off a fast break by catching a lob pass from Chris Paul with one hand and throwing down a monster slam dunk during the third quarter of Sunday's 93-80 win at the Staples Center.
Jamal Crawford started the fast break by stealing the ball from New York Knicks guard J.R. Smith and threw the outlet pass across the court to CP3....
When you think of the Los Angeles Clippers Blake Griffin, you think of the word dunk.
That’s it period.

The Clippers announced Tuesday that they’ve signed rookie guard, Maalik Wayns, to a second day contract. Wayns averaged 12.4 points and 3.0 assists in nine games for the Rio Grande Valley Vipers of the D-League before signing on with the Clippers to a 10-day contract.
According to Clippers:
The Los Angeles Clippers announced today that they have signed guard Maalik Wayns to a second...
If there was any team in the NBA that I would pay to see their pre-game antics, it would be the Los Angeles Clippers. Before the start of Sunday's Clippers/Knicks affair, Los Angeles forward Blake Griffin provided the Staples Center crowd with an impressive between-the-legs slam dunk.It was so good that even Jeff Van Gundy approved of it....
As we have previously noted on That NBA Lottery Pick, we're starting to run out of ways to describe these amazing slam dunks by the Los Angeles Clippers. So, this time around...let's try a little bit of word association...DeAndre Jordan :: Fast Break = Windmill Dunk(Courtesy of Slam Online)
The Clippers dismantled the Knicks on national television on Sunday to the tune of 93-80. During the dismantling, the Clippers did what they normally do: throw and catch alley-oops. With this alley-opp from Chris Paul to Blake Griffin being the culmination of the mall. The post Blake Griffin caught a pretty impressive one handed alley-oop yesterday first appeared on No Guts, No Glory.
Clippers in transition, Chris Paul oops it up to Blake Griffin who finishes with the sick slam.

LOS ANGELES -- From now until the end of the regular season, the Clippers are on a search for seeding.
No. 3 would be nice; No. 2 would be nicer. But as they look to close the season on a rush, the Clippers also need to aware of what's behind them.
There's little doubt that Western Conference teams are going to be bunched between the third and fifth seeds during the final...
If you're currently watching the Los Angeles Clippers and New York Knicks play on ABC, you've probably noticed that Chris Paul is wearing a new version of his shoe.
He's currently wearing the CP3.VI ‘Artisan Edition' which is a preview of the shoe he'll be wearing in the playoffs.
New to the shoe is a mesh quarterpanel which improves the shoes' ventilation...
Prior to playing the Clippers on Sunday, Jason Kidd was 2 of his last 18 from beyond the 3-point line. He made 3 of 5 in the loss, but can thank former shooting coach for the Nets, Bob Thate, who now works for the Clippers for the pregame advice. As Kidd was swishing threes on ABC, Jeff Van Gundy pointed out that the Knicks guard got instruction on his shot for 30 minutes prior...
Knicks vs. Clippers: ABC 3:30PM
The Knicks come into this afternoons game on a 3 game losing streak without their 3 top players and looking more like a lottery team than a 3 seed and a division leader at 38-25. They face one of the best teams in the league with most likely the best PG in the league in Chris Paul. The Clippers have the deepest bench in the league and a great record...

Knicks (38-25) @ Clippers (45-21)
At this point, I just want this road trip to end. I knew it would be a challenging test for the Knicks, but I did not think they’d go winless, losing by 29, 23, and 15 points in their last three games.
With the Knicks matched up against the Clippers today, things will only get worse before...
