Celtics forward Kevin Garnett has won a lot of games during his 17-year NBA career. On Thursday, the future Hall of Famer won his first "bar fight." Or at least that's the way he described the Celtics' 91-83 come-from-behind victory over the Orlando Magic to TNT's Craig Sager after the game.

Poor Craig Sager. All he was trying to do is grab an interview after the most impressive comeback of the NBA season thus far, and he ran into Kevin Garnett during one of his episodes. The Celtics managed to come back from 27 down on the road to beat the Magic, so you can understand where Garnett’s excitement stemmed from. Kevin may have gotten spit and sweat all over Sager’s...
Boston Celtics superstar Kevin Garnett gave us something last night that America has lacked for decades- a good, fun to watch postgame interview. In fact this one, which you can watch after the jump, is much better than the “anything is POSSSSSSIBLE” interview from the 2008 NBA Finals.
This one will likely be referred to as the “bar fight” interview. The Chicago native and...
Kevin Garnett can be A Lot at times. Known for getting up in teammates and opponents faces, his particular brand of enthusiasm is sometimes on another level. Thursday, the Celtics played the Orlando Magic for the second time this week and pulled off the W. The 91-83 victory was in KG’s words, it was a [...]
This is awesome. We linked to it Smack as part of the detailed breakdown of Boston’s massive comeback against Orlando last night, but Kevin Garnett‘s post-game interview deserves its own post. To say that our dude KG is an emotional player is obviously an understatement. When Craig Sager grabbed him right after the final buzzer, [...]
Kevin Garnett is passionate about basketball. He always has been, and I'm sure he always will be. Not many players in the NBA feel comfortable wearing their emotions on their sleeves the way KG does, and for that reason he continues to be one of the most intensely driven athletes in sports.
After the Celtics rallied back from a 27 point deficit against the Orlando Magic and...
The Boston Celtics’ emotional comeback victory last night prompted KG to give a classic, hilarious postgame interview.
I can picture Doc Rivers inside the visiting locker room at the Amway Center, looking around at his subjects and urging them not to fold. I envision Kevin Garnett, sitting in a corner of the room, sweat pouring down his face, eyes staring at the carpet like a 12-foot caterpillar was crawling across it, head bobbing in agreement. In my mind’s eye, Paul Pierce stood in front of...
I'll admit that I fully expected a letdown from the Boston Celtics tonight. After all, they were coming off an exhausting, come-back-from-the-dead victory in Orlando, they were taking on an Indiana club that has been one of the surprises of the short season and had already beaten Boston twice this year and it was the tail-end of a back-to-back. In case you forgot, the Celtics...
