As a friendly reminder, Kevin Garnett still has a no-trade clause.
This is not a complicated situation, really, which makes it rare in the world of NBA transactions — or in this case, non-transactions. As several reports noted last summer, Garnett secured his no-trade clause while taking a sizable pay cut, keeping him among a small minority of respected stars who cannot be dealt without their approval. Tim Duncan, Kobe Bryant and Dirk Nowitzki are believed to be the only other NBA players were official no-trade clauses in their contracts.
We remind you of this because, in the wake of season-ending injuries to Rajon Rondo and Jared Sullinger last week, almost every name on the Celtics’ roster has been tossed around in trade rumors. Paul Pierce addressed the murmurs at practice, reiterating his desire to retire in Boston, and a rumor about the Clippers trying to obtain Garnett made the rounds prior to tip-off on Sunday. With less than three weeks to go before the Feb. 21 trade deadlin...

The Denver Post is reporting that the Denver Nuggets have expressed interest in Kevin Garnett. Unfortunately for the Nuggets, this feeling is a one way street:Through his representatives, Garnett has let it be known he has no current interest in the Nuggets. No surprise there, as the article goes on to call Denver a “fly-over city” and not a desirable destination for most...
When rumors broke that Kevin Garnett could be traded to the Los Angeles Clippers, it sent ripples throughout the basketball world. Could it actually happen? What would it take? Based on Garnett's stipulations for waiving his no-trade clause, the deal could actually be done.According to Shaun Powell, writer for Sports on Earth, Garnett has some specific requirements for...
The Denver Nuggets have a glaring need for a real presence in the post. Kevin Garnett, though a year older and slower, would definitely fill that need. According to the Denver Post, the Nuggets have reached out to the Celtics to try to strike a deal to bring Garnett to Denver, but there’s one problem. Garnett doesn’t want any part of a trade that would send him to Denver.
We all know what rumors, and sources get you in the sports media, and that’s not much. Still they must be reported and one rumor of late is growing buzz and steam.
ESPN L.A. via a report from The Sporting News indicates that the L.A. Clippers are interested in acquiring Kevin Garnett from the Boston Celtics.
Reports indicate that no formal trade talks started but there is interest...
I am on record saying that the Celtics window has closed and it is time to blow up the team. KG and Paul Pierce would be considered valuable assets to teams who are in a position to make a NBA Finals run. Every trade should be explored by Danny Ainge at this point.
KG has a no trade clause, but from these quotes it appears if the right trade came around he would be interested....
With the good Los Angeles team in town yesterday, it was not all that surprising to see trade rumors between the Celtics and Clippers pop up. After all with one team floating right at the .500 mark and with several key veterans on their roster, and the other team in 3rd place in their Conference and seemingly one piece away from being championship contenders - they were a natural...
With the Clippers in Boston this weekend, Danny Ainge likely had a chance to talk face-to-face with Clippers brass. And the Clippers likely had the chance to inquire whether the Celtics might be interested in breaking up their core and improve their team firsthand.
The rumor began filtering out shortly after Sunday's game between Los Angeles and Boston that the Clippers were...
Preparing to make a legitimate run at the Larry O’Brien NBA Championship Trophy, the Los Angeles Clippers are trying to acquire Boston Celtics center Kevin Garnett for second-year guard Eric Bledsoe and veteran Caron Butler prior to the February 21 trade deadline. Although losing five of their previous seven games, Los Angeles (34-15) still sits atop the Western Conference Pacific...
The Clippers haven't had any trade discussions with the Celtics on a deal that would send Eric Bledsoe and Caron Butler to Boston for Kevin Garnett.
With the recent news that Jared Sullinger will be out for the rest of the season, joining superstar point guard, Rajon Rondo, all hope of contention is lost. They could make a big trade to acquire talent, but it would cost all of their valuable pieces and long-term cap space, which is why Rudy Gay is not in Boston and why Josh Smith will not be in green either. With a healthy Rajon...
Boston Celtics coach Doc Rivers says the recent trade rumors around the teams star players have all been made up by the media. "All from [the media]," the Celtics' coach said

Awesome round of quotes today from Celtics coach Doc Rivers, captain Paul Pierce, and center Kevin Garnett on the ongoing trade rumors that seem to pop up by the day. The most recent round of rumors have Kevin Garnett heading to Los Angeles for Clippers guard Eric Bledsoe and forward Caron Butler. What do the Celtics think of these rumors? Let's start with Doc.
All from (the...
Could the Boston Celtics be willing to trade Kevin Garnett to the Los Angeles Clippers? That is a question Sporting News is wondering and thinks the deal would revolve around Eric Bledsoe and Caron Butler. To me the move makes little sense for the Celtics as they have Rajon Rondo (who is lost for this season) heading into to next season and this one is pretty much lost without...
