MVN:
This is a match up the pro scouts will be watching extremely closely, as it pits two of the top power forwards in the collegiate ranks. Unfortunately, as Kevin Love moves up the draft board, Joey Dorsey is still considered a second round pick, I don't get it? Now I realize that Joey Dorsey doesn't possess the offensive skills of a polished low post scorer, but doesn't rebounding and defense count for something?
Everyone is always saying defense wins championships, but when a player focuses his game on the defensive side of the ball, it negatively affects their draft status. Some of the top defenders of the last ten years weren't even drafted (Ben Wallace, Bruce Bowen). Why teams would rather take a guy that scores 17 points a game, with 6-15 shooting and 5 turnovers a game, over a defensive difference maker like Dorsey is beyond my comprehension.
