The New York Knicks (5-0) beat the Orlando Magic (2-5) 99-89, tonight at the Amway Center from Orlando, FL. In the first fives games of the season, the Knicks are still undeafeted by shocking people that they can be NBA title cotenders this season. This is their best start since the 1993-1994 season when they went 7-0 and made the NBA finals that very season. Game Stats: Carmelo Anthony played well when he needed to in the 4th quarter being clutch as always. He scored 25 points and grabbed 8 rebounds. Raymond Felton went 9 for 23 from the field despite scoring 21 points, made 5 assists and grabbed 3 rebounds. J.R. Smith has played very well coming off the bench so far in less than two weeks of the NBA season. He scored 21 points, grabbed 4 rebounds, made 3 assists and had 2 steals. Final Thoughts: This is the fifth game in a row where the Knicks have won by double figures on their undeafeated season. Although I did find myself yelling at the TV for the first time season, even though they won the game. Orlando did give the Knicks fits in the first three quarters in hard fought close tight ballgame, but the Knicks came through in the 4th quarter when their talent needed to show up the most. Let's go 6-0 this coming Thursday night. The New York Knicks will play the San Antonio Spurs this Thursday night inAT&T Centerat 8:30 pm on MSG.

MVP discussions taking place in the NBA are dumb

The NBA is not quite 3 weeks old, and MVP conversations are already taking place. Major League baseball is about to announce their selection for AL MVP, and there is a strong argument for both of those candidates and it is hard to say either would be the wrong selection. Knicks execute to the finish

Basketball, particularly high level basketball, is ostensibly a half-court game. You can try to push the pace and you can try to score in transition, but the majority of your points will come in half-court sets. Particularly late in close games, offense and scoring becomes more about exploiting matchups and creating plays when defenses begin to lock in. The Magic knew with...

Spurs 'run out of gas' in loss to undefeated Knicks

If I told you New York Knicks star forward Carmelo Anthony finished a game with nine points, three assists, and two turnovers on 3-of-12 shooting, one would assume the Knicks would have probably been blown out. That’s why that is an assumption, in the past the Knicks might have been defeated with a low performance from “Melo”, but on Thursday in the AT&T Center, Raymond...
