No, the New York Knicks didn’t rebound well against the Minnesota Timberwolves and that won’t change. The Knicks are atrocious as a team in that category. Tell you something you don’t know, right? The Knicks beat the Kevin Love—less Timberwolves, without shooting well from 3-point range. The Knicks went 6-26 as a team from long distance. Carmelo Anthony shot an abysmal 3-10 from downtown, but finished the evening with a team—high 33 points. Pekovic of the Timberwolves was amazing against the Knicks with 21 points and 17 rebounds, but Anthony was too much in the 4th quarter. Pekovic racked up 8 of his 17 boards in the 1st quarter, and Marcus Camby can’t return any faster. Tyson Chandler did grab 9 rebounds and continues to make the extra effort. Chandler also contributed 16 points and 3 assists. J.R. Smith lead the Knicks in assists with seven and provided a spark off the bench scoring 19 points shooting 7-15 from the field. After an emotional loss to the Chicago Bulls where two Knicks and their Head Coach were ejected, the Knicks rebounded as a unit for the victory. Fourteen turnovers by the Knicks, shows it wasn’t a complete game but the Knicks got the job done. Anthony was phenomenal when it mattered the most. The Knicks captain scored 19 of the Knicks 23 4th quarter points. The rebound disparity would have tilted the game in favor of the Timberwolves, if it weren’t for Anthony’s effort. Allowing your team to be down early may not be the best supporting evidence for a MVP candidate, but making sure your team doesn’t lose does sound an awful lot like an MVP. On a night Jason Kidd didn’t deliver with any points Anthony carried his team to victory on his back. The Knicks position at the top of the Atlantic is firm going into their Christmas day battle with the Los Angeles Lakers. Anthony suffered an ankle injury the last time these two teams met, but scored 30 points before the injury occurred. We know the Knicks won’t rebound but defending and scoring is a good remedy for their ills on the glass. Follow Me On Twitter

Carmelo Anthony and Company Rally Knicks Over Timberwolves

Last season, the Knicks struggled with their consistency (or lack there of) virtually all season long. Wolves downed by rallying Knicks

Are The Knicks A Soft Team?

The Knicks were thoroughly beaten despite the final score by the Chicago Bulls a few nights ago for the second time this season. Of the Knicks seven losses this season, you can argue that four have come at the hands of teams that play a very physical style of play. The first sign that a physical team could be the Knicks’ kryptonite was the 105-95 loss at Memphis, when Carmelo...
