The New York Knicks set a new NBA record they’d rather not have Thursday night, with their 13th straight playoff loss. This came via the Miami Heat, the Knicks old rivals from back in the ’90s. Oh, how times have changed. The Knicks were competitive despite losing to the Heat by double digits to the score of 87-70. The score wasn’t indicative of the outcome. The Knicks actually were in the game until LeBron James took over in the fourth quarter. Yes, King James actually took over a fourth quarter in the playoffs. The Knicks had tied the 12 straight losses set by the Memphis Grizzlies from 2004-06. Their losing streak covers 11 years. Their last postseason win came against Toronto on April 29, 2001. It’s been even longer since the Knicks have won a post season series. The Knicks will look to snap this skid Sunday and avoid being swept by the Miami Heat. Good luck with that.
