A Glam Slam:
With the NBA lockout still underway, Italian team Virtus Bologna has been working hard to court Kobe Bryant. There’s no agreement as of yet that would bring Kobe to the hardwood, but he has taken his fashion talents to the international stage. The Lakers guard posed for the cover of the November issue of GQ Italia. Though Italian fans would rather see Kobe in a basketball uniform, this will have to do for now. The article discusses his childhood and clothing sense and looks to answer the question, “are you happy?” The translation is a bit choppy, but you can read on here.
Bryant grew up in Italy which explains his ability to conduct the GQ interview in fluent Italian. Check out his cover below, as well behind-the-scenes video footage from the corresponding fashion shoot and a taste of Kobe’s Italian speaking skills:

Kobe Bryant is speaking out in a last ditch effort to try to save the season. The Black mamba recently gave a statement hoping that the union and owners could meet again before Stern’s Wednesday imposed deadline.

Every day that passes without a labor agreement in the NBA is another day that Kobe Bryant can’t play for the Los Angeles Lakers. That, as you might imagine, does not sit well with the self-proclaimed Black Mamba.
Bryant, rumored to being agreeable to the owners’ proposed 50/50 split of basketball-related-income, tells Yahoo! Sports that he...
What Kobe Bryant wants, Kobe Bryant gets. Okay, it’s not that simple, but in this case it could be a good thing. The NBA owners and players are trying to set up one last meeting before David Stern’s Wednesday deadline, reported Yahoo’s Adrian Wojnarowski. The NBA and Players Association are discussing setting up a meeting…
This NBA lockout has spawned some interesting activity from some of our favorite pro basketball players. NBA players have made it a point to do whatever it takes to stay active while on lockout vacation.
Perhaps the most popular NBA lockout moment was Kevin Durant's flag football game last week (4 TD's and 3 interceptions ain't bad!). Video of Durant's flag football...
Ever since KICKS 3 (summer 2000), each issue of the annual sneaker mag—KICKS 10 not included—has contained two or three new inductions into the KICKS Hall of Fame, where footwear legends past and present are honored. This may not be fresh material for those of you who’ve been copping the mag since before the new millennium hit, but for the younger heads, we’re posting the...
