Pau Gasol has been in the news for the past few days for reasons relating to trade rumors. It was not long thereafter Kobe Bryant told reporters that he will “support him especially”.
“You can’t have one of our pillars not knowing if he’s going to be here or not. Do something. One way or another, do something,” Kobe said in an outburst after their defeat against the Suns in Phoenix 90-102 last Sunday.
Then Kobe actually followed it up with a locker-room meeting which discussed matters of the trade rumor after bouncing back with a win over the Blazers by 103-92 on Monday.
“… All that matters is that the 14 men in that locker room support and believe in one another. If they stay together and stay on the same page, they can get to where they want to go as a team,” as reported Chris Broussard of ESPN.
Pau Gasol’s points had reduced from 18.8 points to 16.6 points on average, since rumors of his trading broke out at the tail end of last season, but in their game against the Dallas Maveri...
