You can probably say the Kwame Brown was one of the worst number one picks let alone one of the worst draft picks of all-time. He was also the first pick of the Michael Jordan’s executive career. Brown’s first outrageous quote in his tenure in the NBA was to then head coach Doug Collins, “If you draft me, you’ll never regret it.” Since then Brown has bounced around from team to team. His 11-year career has been spent with the Wizards, Lakers, Grizzlies, Pistons, Bobcats and currently the Warriors. He has averaged 6.8 points and 5.6 rebounds in his career, so why is he taking credit for building center Andrew Bynum while Brown was in Los Angeles? Brown told the Sacramento Bee: “That was my young fella,” Brown said. “I taught him everything he knows. I’m one of the better defenders in the league and we played against each other every day in practice,” Brown said. “I told him if you can score against me, you can score on...

Kwame Brown takes credit for teaching Andrew Bynum “everything he knows”

Thank god Kwame Brown was on the Lakers for the first few years after the team drafted Andrew Bynum 10th overall in 2005. Because otherwise, according Brown, the Lakers wouldn’t currently have one of the top big men in the game today. From the LA Times: “That was my young fella,” Brown said. “I taught him everything he knows.” [...] “I’m...

Why Andrew Bynum Should Be The Lakers’ Second Option

One of the more underrated aspects of Kobe Bryant’s game is his quotability. From discussions of trips to Pluto, shipping players’ asses out of town, and assessing his co-star’s need to cut down on the carbs, Bryant has never shied away from expressing an opinion. A few days ago, Kobe was at it again with this gem regarding the dynamic between Lakers’ center Andrew Bynum...

Kwame Brown On Andrew Bynum: “I Taught Him Everything He Knows”

I’ve been around Kwame Brown quite a lot this season having moved to San Francisco. And I can honestly say he’s one of the oddest NBA players I’ve ever met. Some guys, like Nate Robinson, just like to joke around. Others, like David Lee, are more reserved. But Kwame? Sometimes I can’t tell if he [...]

Kobe: Bynum is Lakers’ No. 2 Scoring Option

Andrew Bynum has a ways to go before becoming a bona fide second scoring option to Kobe, but the Mamba thinks the Lakers will be going to Bynum often this season. Via ESPN: “The scoring pecking order is no longer former MVP Kobe Bryant, followed by former All-Star Pau Gasol, followed by up-and-comer Andrew Bynum. Now it’s Kobe, then Bynum, then Gasol. ‘It seems...
