Waiting For Next Year:
With news surrounding the four-week shelving of Cleveland Cavaliers guard Kyrie Irving, fans of the Wine and Gold came out of the woodwork to show their support of the injured star. Also jumping in was friend and co-star of the latest Uncle Drew spot for PepsiMAX ((Spoiler Alert)), Minnesota Timberwolves power forward — and fellow USA Basketball cohort – Kevin Love, who also sustained an early-season injury.
@kyrieirving minor setback, get well soon homie.
— Kevin Love (@kevinlove) November 20, 2012
While the Love love was somewhat expected, Irving also received some bizarre support from the host of NBC’s America’s Got Talent, Nick Cannon.
lil set back, do finger tip push ups. Get back asap, the league needs u! @kyrieirving

Irving’s appreciation for musicals is well documented. Whether or not he enjoyedDrumlineis still unknown at this time. A mutual admiration of Mariah Carey, perhaps?

Cavaliers guard Kyrie Irving is determined to stay positive despite a broken finger that will keep him off the court for a month.
Irving broke his left index finger on Saturday against Dallas and he played the next night in Philadelphia before an MRI revealed a crack in the bone. Irving could keep playing with the injury, but he would risk doing more damage and be sidelined even...
In his second year out of Duke University, Kyrie Irving has given Cleveland Cavaliers fans a reason to show up to the arena. They sure aren't showing up to see a competitive team. Cleveland is just 2-7 on the season, but they have a star in Irving. Last night, though, that star gave the team a scare. Irving had to exit the game in the third quarter with an apparent hand...
INDEPENDENCE, Ohio -- Kyrie Irving has a broken finger, but could probably play. Like everyone else in the NBA, he really wants to play.
So why dont let the Cavaliers just let him do it? After all, its only a hairline fracture in his left index finger. Thats not even on his shooting hand.
"Yeah, but if he gets this thing hit again, then it requires surgery and then...
The Cleveland Cavaliers will be without their best player for the next month.
Kyrie Irving tried playing through his injury, but the diagnosis shows a hairline fracture in his left index finger. The injury will keep Irving out for four weeks.
Irving is far and away the best player on the Cavs’ 2-8 squad. He’s averaging 22.9 points per game, 5.6 assists and 3.7 rebounds. he was...
CLEVELAND (AP) -- Cavaliers star point guard Kyrie Irving will miss at least one month with a broken finger.
The NBA's reigning rookie of the year fractured his left index finger on Saturday against Dallas. The team initially said the finger was only bruised and he played against Philadelphia on Sunday, scoring a season-low 9 points as Cleveland dropped its sixth straight game...
Earlier in the week, Foot Locker released this viral video featuring Cleveland Cavaliers guard Kyrie Irving as part of their "Week of Greatness" promotion.I think this advertisement brings a whole new meaning to the term "Hang Time":
Cleveland Cavaliers point guard Kyrie Irving was diagnosed with a hairline fracture in his left index finger, and he will be sidelined at least four weeks. Irving was hurt in the third quarter Saturday during the Cavaliers' home game against the Dallas Mavericks, but X-rays of the finger were negative. He came back the next day to play 37 minutes against the 76ers in Philadelphia...
The Cleveland Cavaliers sent a release out tonight indicating that Kyrie Irving could be out for up to four weeks while recovering from a "hairline/non-displaced fracture of his contused left index finger".
I am translating this to read his finger is real jacked up and he'll be out for a while because of it.
Here is what the Cavaliers are saying, however...
Without Kyrie Irving, the Cavaliers will have to well, theres no easy answer that to that one. Truth is, without Irving, we have no idea what the Cavs can do.
With Irving, they won just two of their first 10 games. Some of that has to do with their brutal schedule, in which the Cavs played just three home games (and even that was a followed by a game the next night...
MINNEAPOLIS Minnesota Timberwolves forward Kevin Love was activated earlier than anticipated, as the team announced he will play and start Wednesday against the Denver Nuggets.
The 24-year-old Love has yet to play this season after breaking a bone in his hand doing knuckle pushups last month. He was originally expected to miss 6-to-8 weeks, but is now returning just over four...
Kevin Love was a surprise activation for the Minnesota Timberwolves on Wednesday night against the Denver Nuggets.
Love hasn't played this season after breaking his right hand during the exhibition season. The initial timetable was six to eight weeks to recover. But he was able to return to the lineup just over four weeks after he was injured.
Love is the team's leading...
Minnesota Timberwolves power forward returned from his hand injury last night in a big way, scoring 34 points and grabbing 14 rebounds in a losing effort against the Denver Nuggets.Love was added to the team’s active roster prior to last night’s game, cleared to play and inserted immediately into the team’s starting lineup.Shocker: Kevin Love's broken hand has been cleared...
CLEVELAND -- If the Cavaliers have to play without Kyrie Irving for a month, well, this is probably the way to go.
Defend, hustle your buns off, and get some scoring from unlikely sources. And not just scoring. This was a once-in-a-lifetime show for Jeremy Pargo, who started at point guard in Irvings place.
Pargo scored 28 points. He made 11 of 19 shots. He buried some threes from...
MINNEAPOLIS (AP) -- Andre Iguodala had 18 points and nine rebounds to spoil Kevin Love's surprise season debut in the Denver Nuggets' 101-94 victory over the Minnesota Timberwolves on Wednesday night.
Danilo Gallinari scored 19 points for the Nuggets, who withstood a furious start by a Timberwolves team buoyed by the return of their All-Star power forward.
Love scored 34...
This is serious! Vote for Lou Seal now!
And yet…it’s not so serious. Cartoon Network? Hall of Game? What?
Seriously. This is a show that is going to be hosted by Shaquille O’Neil and Nick Cannon. Nick Cannon? Really? This is a guy who, in the last two years, played a character named Robby Bottoms. In sports terms, that’s like being a bench player in the...
