L.A. demands another long-haired mustached wielding citizen, trade for Adam Morrison

And with the 3rd pick in the 2006 NBA draft, the Charlotte Bobcats select?..Adam Morrison. For real?

True story folks. Odds are most of you had forgotten about the former Gonzaga standout, I certainly did. I was perusing through the newspaper the other day and stumbled upon an article which had a spitting image of Morrison attached (in case you were wondering, it was an article about a pedophile), which led me to reflect on just how bad a move it was for partial owner Michael Jordan and his Bobcats to draft this guy.



Morrison's NBA production (or lack there of) may be surprising to a number of basketball fans, but not I. Now, I'm not an NBA talent scout or anything(with draft picks like this, sometimes I think I should be), but how many people sincerely thought this guy would carry his success from the collegiate level over to the NBA? Don't get me wrong, the 2006 NBA draft class was fairly scarce, but that does not justify the Bobcats selection of Adam Morrison with the number 3 overall pick. A successful college campaign does not always equate to success in the pros. In fact, it seems relatively simple to recognize that this guy was not worthy of a number 3 pick, a gangly 6 foot 8, 205 lb. type 1 diabetic who does not possess great athleticism.
