By Will CavedoSportsonastick.comMay 15, 2009 Kobe Bryant and the rest of the Los Angeles Lakers recently admitted that they were completely stymied by the existence of a so-called "Game 7" in the NBA's Eastern Conference Semi-Finals. The revelation of this previously unknown basketball contest seemingly startled the entire Lakers organization and had everyone involved scrambling for more information on the mysterious event."From what we have gathered so far," said Lakers head coach Phil Jackson at a recent press conference, "this alleged 'Game 7' is a regular basketball game that is played when a team still hasn't won four games after six tries . This, naturally, is a complete surprise to us. Frankly, we had only heard rumors of this 'Game 6' until yesterday, and now we find out there's another one? Where do they all come from?"Bryant, the Lakers' star guard was equally perplexed by the news that his team would be playing a seventh game against the fifth-seeded Houston Rockets."I'm not sure what the precedent for this is," said Bryant, "we only played 5 games last round, and I know the [Cleveland] Cavaliers have only ever played 4. I think the NBA might be making up this whole 'Game 7' thing for TV ratings.""It definitely sounds fishy to me," said Lakers forward Pau Gasol, "a lot like that referee scandal from a few years back. Are we sure they're allowed to do this?"The theoretical "Game 7" will supposedly take place on Sunday, just before the Boston Celtics are expected to experience a similar phenomenon for an unheard of second time."Speaking from experience," said the Celtics Rajon Rondo, "this is totally gonna suck."
