Nash goes 'Gangnam Style' on bench

Los Angeles Lakers guard Steve Nash was caught doing the 'Gangman Style' dance sitting on the bench next to Steve Blake at the Staples Center during the Lakers-Rockets Sunday showdown. The Lakers beat the Rockets 119-108.  Kobe Bryant recorded his 18th triple-double with 22 points, 11 assists and 11 rebounds.  "I'm a scorer, not a triple-double player," said Kobe Bryant.

Kobe Bryant Delivers Death Stare To Jeremy Lin

The first time Lakers star Kobe Bryant brought out the “death stare” this season, it got Mike Brown fired.  I don’t know what will happen to Jeremy Lin over the next few days but one this is certain…it won’t be good. Bryant delivered, his now trademark, death stare to Lin after he feel [flopped] to the ground when Bryant attempted to steal a pass that had just reached...

Lakers coach Mike D'Antoni delays bench debut

Mike D'Antoni is postponing his debut on the Los Angeles Lakers' bench, giving the coach a few more days to recover from recent knee replacement surgery. D'Antoni was tentatively planning to take over Sunday night against Houston, a week after the Lakers hired him to replace Mike Brown. Instead, Lakers trainer Gary Vitti and D'Antoni's wife persuaded him to...

PICTURE: Jason Kidd’s “Ace-duece” headband

Early in the first quarter Jason Kidd had a wide open three-point shot that he decided to turn down in favor of his killer ball fake. The same ball fake that has worked wonders in him getting his defender in the air and drawing the foul. This time however, Kidd wasn’t as fortunate to just go to the charity stripe to knock down a few free throws. His defender corked him in the head...

Kevin Durant’s First Triple-Double; Kobe Bryant’s 18th triple-double (Video)

Kevin Durant and Kobe Bryant both had impressive games Sunday night as Durant racked up his first triple-double and showed the legions of not-so-smart social media sports fans, he does more than just score. In fact, his passing and ball-handling skills have improved over the past two seasons, and this year it seems he is [...]The post Kevin Durant’s First Triple-Double; Kobe Bryant’s...

Why You Always Trade for a Superstar: The Carmelo Anthony Story

The New York Knicks Gamble on Carmelo Anthony Is Paying Huge Dividends   Remember way back yonder when the New York Knicks were vilified for trading for a selfish ball hog in Carmelo Anthony? How could those knuckleheads down there think they could win with a no-d-playing, selfish, cancerous gunner? Well those days are long [...]

Mike D'Antoni has postponed his Lakers coaching debut, still trying to recover from recent knee surgery. The duties will once again fall on Bernie Bickerstaff as interim head coach when the Lakers play the Houston Rockets on Sunday night at Staples Center. High top fades. It’s gotta stop.

Very rarely do I nit-pick about athlete swag. Personality, style of dress, hairdo. All these things are usually off limits for me because who am I to say somebody else’s steeze should be done away with. But when it comes to these high top fades slowly creeping their way back into the NBA and pop culture I have got to take a stand. We’re all haters when it comes to some aspects...

Lakers 119, Rockets 108

LOS ANGELES -- Mike D'Antoni still hasn't coached a game for the Los Angeles Lakers, but it's obvious he began putting a stamp on his new team after taking over seven days ago. Still mending from recent knee-replacement surgery, D'Antoni was not on the sideline Sunday when the Lakers welcomed the Houston Rockets. It didn't matter. With D'Antoni watching...
